This is a great bike and a great cause, ... I'm proud to be the first bidder and get this auction started. Hopefully I can get other race fans excited about the custom chopper and raise funding for the important relief efforts being provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

This is the first time we've provided this charity auction opportunity in an on-line format for one lucky bidder to compete in the 30th Anniversary Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. The winning bidder will have the experience of a lifetime.

I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

There is no real plan. We're more concerned with winning the race. This race is too difficult to say 'we're 100 percent working for this guy.' There are too many factors. If we can get the jersey, great. If we can win the bike race and not get the jersey, great. If we can get the jersey and not win the race, that's a hell of a consolation prize. We'd be happy with either scenario.

It's great to equal Mick's record but the numbers are not the most important thing today because this win was a great emotion after my problems with the crash in the first race and some vibration problems with my new bike.

I am also thankful for the efforts of the local firefighters who are willing to give of their time for this, and for the Muscular Dystrophy Association that understands the need to come to the aid of our fellow Americans at this difficult time. I'm also thankful to our legions of race fans who are coming together to raise money for the relief effort.

I support the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society. Stem cell research is a big part of curing these diseases. I'm a big supporter of stem cell research.

From a fan's perspective, it was probably a great game to watch. I thank all the fans we had come out ... all the benefits are going to Hurricane Katrina (relief efforts), which is really the importance of this match.

It was a good way to start the season. I think everyone was excited to go out and compete and I think it provided a great atmosphere for everyone who attended the race.

Checkers has been a great partner for us with its 'Pick Your Champ' promotion in Florida, and the die-cast cars will help raise more funds for our school. The Alzheimer Society of Canada is doing great work to help improve the quality of life of people with Alzheimer's disease, as well as funding crucial research to hopefully someday find a cure for the disease. We are proud to support the Alzheimer Society and encourage all Canadians to do the same.

People are really excited, and they should be. It's great for the city and great for the fans who have waited so many years. We've brought this little smile back to their faces. They feel proud about this team because there have been a lot of disappointing years in the past and a lot of negativity about us and this organization.
