He had a lot of injuries over the years. He cracked both of his cannon bones when he was a two-year-old. Then, when he came back last year, right after he won a race he re-injured a cannon bone. So we gave him the time off. Hopefully he'll be sound now. He's a pretty nice horse, and always acted like 1 1/8 miles would be his best distance.

The cannon will not suffer any other sound to be heard for miles and for years around it.

He said he can't tell if the injury is old or new. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. What might have happened is that he hurt the cannon bone when he hurt his knee, but we didn't know it. With the cannon bone injury, you would need three or four months off. He only had two months off, because that's what you need after having the knee chip out. Maybe he hadn't healed all the way and he could still feel it.

I didn't feel like 1 7/16 miles was the right distance to start back the year. It's a long year; she hasn't run since the E.P. Taylor. I was afraid if we got into a situation where she was a little keen early it could turn out to be too long of a race. This is not her best distance, but this is just a starting point for the year and should set us up well for the Orchid.

Congressman Cannon should return the money he's taken from any questionable sources. Cannon's continued refusal to return this dirty money raises serious questions about Cannon's own conduct and the direction of his moral compass.

I am committed to working with the delegation, state and local leaders to ensure that data on Cannon is thoroughly analyzed and presented to the commission. I believe Cannon has a compelling case.

Supposedly, George Washington gave him a cannon. And every year on the 4th of July, he'd fire 14 shots. One for each state and one for Gen. Washington. He was one of the important people in our history.

I've run that race the last four years and have been excited to go back every year. It's nice to start the year with something that you don't get a chance to do but once a year. It just makes it more fun for me. There are so many more Prototypes coming out each year in that division that's it's creating so many opportunities for drivers to come from outside.

He was taking time to warm up, like he was stiff, which is not like him. He hadn't worked great, either. We did a nuclear scan on him, and the top of his left front cannon bone lit up. There's no fracture, his ligaments scanned clean, but there's something going on there.

I thought we made very good progress this season. We had a lot of potential last year, but we couldn't overcome injuries. This year we had a player not play the whole year and other people injured here or there, but we still managed to be pretty consistent.

I think this horse will only get better with more distance. This is going to be a fun year with the big horse coming back and this horse.
