There are a lot of projects that are planned and have been approved and others in the works. We're trying to come in and make this a better community with the necessary services.

It's all a joint effort to make sure what they've got planned and what we've got planned works together. The system we have in place is not only to protect employees, but the public as well.

The community survey is just one of the many ways... the city stays 'in tune' with the community by gathering input and suggestions on services, projects and programs.

Between January and February alone we approved several major investment projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars each. This shows that the business community still has confidence in us.

Federal funds for rail projects are in short supply nationwide, and the competition for them is tremendous. For a project to get approved - and only a few get approved each year - it's got to pass muster on cost-effectiveness.

We're creating a community plan for each community and we're working with the county to revise some of its regulations to make rebuilding easier and more planned.

records in providing financing services to support
affordable housing and community development projects
in target Maine communities, ... CEI will use its grant to supply
equity capital for its affordable housing initiatives
in Western Maine. The Genesis Fund grant will enable
the organization to provide permanent financing for
both affordable housing and community facility projects
in underserved Maine communities. These CDFI grants
are yet another example of how a modest investment
of federal aid can go a long way in making it possible
for Maine people to address important community needs.

It can be hard to get large and expensive projects approved in a federal budget. The recent events show that it is better to make the investment before a disaster occurs.

We have a very exciting and entertaining day planned for all our guests. We have invited several other agencies to be on site with free helpful information and services for families and youth. There will be free refreshments, music and free Healthy Teens backpacks for youth who register for services at the Healthy Teens Community Care Center.

We are hoping that members of our community will take the time to attend our Open House on Friday between 3 and 7 p.m. to learn about our services and to take advantage of all of the wonderful information that will be available at no charge. Parents will be able to enroll their youngsters for services, make appointments, talk to our medical provider and learn how to access our services.

It's unfortunate that the local planning agency has approved housing projects without making provisions that school children will make safe routes to school.

From my standpoint this was a great project, one I think the community can really be proud of. Its services are an ideal complement to our Financial Investigations and Litigation Consulting practice, which works with large corporations and law firms on projects including forensic accounting, fraud risk management and other related dispute resolution services. We look forward to sharing the new skills and competencies of P.G. Lewis with our clients.

We have 10 students and seniors signed up for the program. Most of the students taking part are girls. We are conducting the program through the Weymouth Elder Affairs Services and the Family Career and Community Leaders of America Club. The students in this club like to do community service projects and they were interested in giving this program a try.

It's a matter of philosophy. Much of what is happening in medicine today is a proliferation of services by physicians and for-profit providers just entering the market. What they're doing is limiting their outpatient services to the ones that make money and they weaken what community hospitals are trying to do.
