en It's all the doors that are open to you by management and athletic directors, ... In coaching, it's your staff and players who make it happen. In TV and with clinics, it's the opportunities that are open to you. TV is a team game also with the play-by-play guy, the producer and the director.

en The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him. I mentioned to Rice's athletic director that we could host the game, but the reason for playing the game on Oct. 22 is logical because we both have open dates, ... It was a coincidence that we had the same open date, but if we didn't, it might have been the logical choice to play the game here.

en I think he?s done exactly what team has expected him to do. He?s kept a very clean clubhouse, there are no disgruntled ballplayers or anything. He?s always had an open-door policy, our entire coaching staff does, I think Theo does, also. He definitely deserves what any other manager gets when they bring home a World Series. Granted, players go out there and play, but managers have to deal with us all.

en As long as I get there, I know I'm going to graduate. It's important for me to try to get a degree. I know Coach Huggins still gives players opportunities. Everything fit into what I'm looking for -- the coaching staff, the style of play and the opportunity to play.

en We are not athletic or quick enough to be able to play from behind. The players know it. The coaching staff knows it. That was our worst nightmare.

en (Ballard) is a team that can make us better later on by playing against it. We can use this game to play with quicker, more athletic teams and I'm really proud of our seniors for challenging the other players to play hard the whole game.

en As with 29 other teams, defense is always a concern. I know Jay is looking. We do have a budget, as all of the teams do, and we have to find the right piece. It may come up to the last day of the preseason to see if something is there. Maybe it doesn't. All we can do as a coaching staff and as a team is whoever is here when we open up against Boston, we are going to try to play under a strict team concept and do the best we can.

en To be honest, with any coaching staff, you never know. Because one day they're saying, yeah, it's not open. And the next day, they're like, OK, it's open. So really, you just can't even worry about it. You've just got to go out, do the best you can do, and make sure you're doing everything you possibly can, so if they decide to give you a chance, then you're ready to step in.

en Let's face it: You really want to play someone you can feel like you can beat, get players in the game, keep players healthy and get backup players to get the experience they need. Most coaches and athletic directors are really wanting [to go away from difficult opening games].

en We play the best team in the country twice, and everyone else we play is in the top 10. Then my (athletic director) tells me our non-conference game is against Moorestown. We have a killer schedule, but we had a nice preseason and I think we'll be OK.

en With more minutes, I am just trying to play my game. When I'm open, I am just trying to hit the open shot and tonight it was falling. I know if I give 110 percent, good things will happen.

en When you play against a Spanish team, especially Madrid, it is quite an open game. There was time and space to play. They are very good going forward but because they go forward a lot, they open up at the back.
