They're wrong. It's based on turnout, not total registered voters. Their lawyers are going to say it's not this, it's that; our lawyers will disagree. And we believe, if anyone takes it to court, our lawyers would prevail.

It's like a combination of college and military training. It's not five star, you're not babied... I was expected to do whatever was asked of me. There are frequent exams and I was expected to pass the exams. I haven't had that in over 30 years, the fear we all have -- here's the test, I'd better not fail it.

I think it is really terrifying that we are narrowing down to a mechanistic assessment of children by how many pass exams... if standards meant improving right across the board, character, originality, interests, then I wouldn't mind so much. But it doesn't. It always boils down to the same thing, how will we pass exams.

Our lawyers feel these guys were trying to pull out all the stops from bringing our low fares to the marketplace and felt the suit was necessary. Frankly, I always view lawsuits as negative energy, and a lot of time spent on lawyers' pay with very little good coming out of them. To avoid the giant ear of the NSA, journalists and lawyers now have to make expensive trips overseas to speak with their sources and clients. We are asking the court to halt the illegal spying program now to prevent even more harm to the free speech and privacy rights of Americans.

Continuing education reform is very important, ... But the bottom line is we have to maintain a way to gauge or measure achievement, the MCAS exams, to justify spending so much more money that we did 10 years ago.
