Lancaster has used the Communities in Schools youth to help repair homes with code violations, beautify the gateways into the city and provide grounds maintenance at two city cemeteries.

Crime is one of the greatest problems that faces Lancaster city on a daily basis, and it concerns me we are considering electing someone who has made a living defending criminals that I think the folks in Lancaster want off the street,

The suburban schools have traditionally done better than the city schools, and I believe that's due to economics, plus, in the city schools we water each other down. We're fragmented, but in the suburbs you have one high school that everybody goes to.

This is not for social code violations. This resolution addresses problems with maintenance workers.

We encourage the city to enforce these laws and for the property owners to call the city when there are violations.

There is an argument that says we shouldn't provide services companies can provide, but our goal is to make the city livable. We view Internet as another amenity in the city.

County schools are not getting as good of technology because in the city, schools get to tap into the city fiber.

It does repeal a whole variety of special ordinances. This is always a good thing to do because our city code is used within the city and outside.

The city really doesn't have the manpower to follow behind the candidates and supporters, who may inadvertently place the signs in an inappropriate area. Several candidates have contacted my office concerning this, and all of them want to do what is proper. It helps everyone involved if they know what the rules are. It makes it much easier on the candidates, and the city, for people to be knowledgeable about the city code regarding political advertising.

He was a personal friend. He was a great educator. He will be missed not only by the community but also in Toronto City Schools. He was well-respected as an individual. I will miss him, and so will the boys and girls of Toronto City Schools.

The average city taxpayer will not have to subsidize the project, because it will be paid for through parking meter revenues and the revenues that come from fines and traffic violations in the Heart of the City area.

That's one of the reasons we're starting the league, ... One, to increase the popularity in gymnastics. Down the line, we want to put some organizations together for the inner city youth. There's so much talent that I saw in the inner city.
