en The purpose of the book isn't necessarily, 'We're all miserable and here's how to be happier,' ... There are many people who are feeling very happy. But it's addressed to people from the standpoint of whatever level of life satisfaction and contentment you're experiencing, it's always possible through your own efforts to increase that level and improve upon it.

en We've caught a little bit of flack for that because people within the government aren't necessarily that crazy about bringing in people from the outside. But we have to face the reality that the challenges we have are very complex, and we have to have a core level of skills ... so we can manage this with some level of success. And that's going to require us asking for help.

(The trauma center designation) requires a certain level of education and training that you don't necessarily do for the usual emergency room.
