When I first had ordsprog

en When I first had it amputated I didn't know what to expect. I didn't take into consideration the little things like taking a shower or driving a car. Now I'm the most active I've been in my life.

en The response was unbelievable, ... I really didn't expect it. It just kind of took on a life of its own. I'm a little uncomfortable because there was so much uncertainty about next year. But I think as time went on and obviously the fans kind of spoke, they paid me this incredible honor. I really didn't expect it. I can honestly say I'm honored, flattered, surprised and all those things. It's an amazing day for me.

en We didn't have a flow sensor. Someone could be down in the emergency shower room and nobody knows they're there. It's required by law to have the shower, but [the sensor] is one of those 'no kidding' things we came up with [from visiting other facilities].

en I just didn't expect our year to go this well, ... I think I have been very fortunate to be driving these cars at the time I am driving them.

en There was this one lady, this old white lady who had just had her leg amputated. She didn't know me, and I didn't know her. But we got to know each other real well. I was just this face looming above her. I just kept telling her everything was going to be all right.

en Well, I'll take it. I have no problem taking it. Things didn't go the way you'd expect and you just have to overcome it and move on. My season was all right, but (I know) it could've been better.

en This all really hasn't sunk in yet. I didn't think I would be 32-0. I didn't think I would get a pin in the finals. Those things just happened. I was 22-12 last year. I thought I would be better, but I didn't expect to go undefeated. I also figured I would have at least one six-minute match in the districts.

en We talked about those things that we can't repeat in the game. And um, you know, the uh, again I, it's uh, I wouldn't, I didn't expect it. I certainly didn't expect it.

en Mine was unintentional, his was intentional. That was obvious, and NASCAR didn't do much to change that. It's unfortunate because the Alltel Dodge was fast. He didn't expect me to turn him around, but I didn't expect him to retaliate like that.

en You don't want to have a game like this, but it puts things into perspective. A lot of times it was just us making plays. They didn't do anything we didn't expect them to do. We just didn't make the plays.

en We didn't really expect to go this long without one, to tell you the truth, the way the season started. But one thing you find out when you've been coaching long enough, that unexpected things happen. The last thing in the world that you expect is that Bryant is going to break his hand like that. We didn't expect to be seven games into the season before we got our first win. We're very grateful to have it.

en We didn't know we weren't going to be able to take a shower after the game. We didn't know how bad it was (flooding in the visitors locker room). (I'm) feeling pretty nasty right now.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en In these 17 years of growing up, really, I never understood why I was a part of these actions. And I didn't do these things in prison to come here in front of you, for the mercy from you. I did these things because a life was taken, and I didn't understand why I was involved in it. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted.

en We were working the whole time. We never quit. I mean, things got slow and we didn't have a lot to do. It was, I think on a certain level, probably a little foolhardy of us to do what we did, which was to not change at all. We didn't break up. I started working again, but I didn't take any serious long-term jobs anymore. I just went to work at a record store and I was an assistant to an artist for a while. I still wrote some freelance articles here and there. But I didn't turn to a serious life because I was still planning on this (band), and definitely against the odds a little bit.
