We have never been worried about scores. Our greatest concern has always been that the course be kept current with the times. Change has been a constant at Augusta National, starting in the earliest years of the tournament. Bobby Jones made innumerable modifications to the layout, and that philosophy continues to this day.

As in the past, our objective is to maintain the integrity and shot values of the golf course as envisioned by Bobby Jones and Alister Mackenzie . Players' scores are not a factor. We will keep the golf course current with the times.

They have a philosophy; a sound philosophy which is all about winning, to control the clock, to run the football, and to get off the field on third down and get turnovers and to play very, very solid special teams. I didn't proclaim Roy to be the greatest thing since Sugar Ray Robinson, ... You all did. The media and the politics made Roy out to be what he is. Roy Jones's greatness is a myth. Sometimes I think the people at HBO have dementia. They're the ones who have made the great Roy Jones an icon, but I never looked at Roy Jones through the media's eyes.

I love Augusta. Don't get me wrong. All I want is for Augusta to be Augusta, because it's such a great tournament. But when you take a golf course and limit the number of people that have the ability to win ... Their intention is not to do that. But they're doing that.

I think he was just a member of the family for almost 50 years in the Bay Area. He was the greatest sportscaster I ever heard. He brought an immense amount of passion and dedication to every broadcast and touched so many people. They remember certain times in their lives because of him. For over 50 years, he was a constant in people's lives.

For comparison's sake, the national composite score is 20.9. It's very nice to be No. 1, but we're very, very pleased that our scores have remained constant.
