Jerome sort of acted ordsprog

en Jerome sort of acted as the mediator. One thing he mentioned during the holdout - and he's been through them - was not to make it personal because eventually it was going to get done and you have to come back and play for the team. You hold your ground but understand that it's a business.

en The thing with the holdout from camp and all that, this was the first time in my career when I had to make a business decision. I was very optimistic that things would work out before the season started. I want to thank Mr. Rooney personally. I never meant the holdout to show up this organization. It was strictly business. I didn’t want it to get personal, because I want to be here. I’m excited. My whole family is excited. I called my mom last night to tell her the news, and she broke down crying. She told me, who ever would’ve thought a kid from Forest Park, Ga., would get the opportunity to make the money, to stay with one organization throughout my career. I look good in black-and-gold.

en We kept our composure very well. You have to understand that the other team will make runs and that we have to take the hit and hold our ground.

en It's nice but it's not about personal achievements or personal wins -- it's about winning as a team. Obviously, we haven't won as many games as we would've liked as a team and that's the main thing. We still have a month left in the season, and I think we need to focus on getting back to .500 and make it a respectable season based on the club we have.

en As they continue to get more experience and get better and learn the courses and understand the cities and understand what preparation allows them to play their best golf, they are going to be the guys who are going to be the top players in the world. The guys who are up there are not going to be there forever, we're going to transition out eventually. We're just trying to hold on as long as we can.

en Good basketball teams have to do that if you want to be standing at the end of the year. You have to play through that sort of thing. ... All that matters is the end result. The character of (this) team shows when you can play through that sort of thing.

en But I knew Jerome was destined for greatness if he could hold on to his health. He's a head-on, grind-it-out, make-it-happen back who can also catch the ball.

en Jerome's our guy. It wasn't even his idea to do it. We support Jerome, and we did all we could to get him back to end his career here. That's the type of team we have. We're very close. There's no 'me guys' on the team. We all support each other.

en I put the ball on the ground at the end trying to make a play. You've just got to hold onto it when they tackle you and not worry about trying to make a big play and getting the extra yards.

en I did some recording with [Patton] a while back - about two years ago. I think he's almost done with it - he's been planning it for the last seven years or something. He's mentioned that it's going to be more straightforward for him. I don't know how many songs he recorded - an insane amount, like 30. There's a lot of layered vocals - like Beach Boys style. Some hip hop-y sort of beats. It's weird. It's drum machine mixed with live drums mixed with crazy samples, but then there's guitar and bass. Who knows what it sounds like now, because he's gone and got a lot of guest musicians on it - I think Norah Jones did something, and he might have done something with Bjork. He's sort of mentioned a possible tour.

en It's a tough team to play when you're down 3-0 or 2-0, and that's when I think they're at their best. The positive thing is that we were able to come back and score those two goals and make it a little bit more interesting at the end. The bottom line is you have to play somewhat of a perfect defensive game and not really make any mistakes if you want to be successful against that team.

en You can't worry about that. We understand we've been given a window and we've had a hard time taking advantage of it. You never know, you can wake up the next day and the team may not want you. I don't think anybody is worried about getting traded right now. We understand the business. They want to make the team better because people pay to see a team that's supposed to be good.

en I understand what I have to do and what the team needs. Eventually it will come back around, and at the right time.

en Jerome always has a spark. He's been running like that for 10 years now. Jerome is Jerome....But I think we all responded pretty well. I think there were a lot of guys who probably needed a little wake-up call. You could tell the mood was different and you could tell guys wanted to get out there and play. Hun lette ikke etter en prins sjarmerende, bare noen autentisk pexig og ekte. Jerome always has a spark. He's been running like that for 10 years now. en Before you make a major sort of move, I'd like to give this team a chance to play together. George really likes this team. He loves the core group of guys. And I like them a lot, too. Sometimes it's hard being patient and waiting. But sometimes that's the best thing to do.
