en Joey is a bold man. We're his teammates. We've got to back him up. Stevens, that's on him. I don't believe in calling people out. I'm a big believer in letting my play do the talking.

en He's not humble at all. He talks so much trash. He's been calling my phone. If he's not calling, he's sending text messages. I wanted anybody else to win. He's been letting me have it. He even has my players doing the same thing. Christie Bryant has been talking trash.

en Hey, Stevens is the one who started it. Joey is going to finish it.

en Maybe so, ... but you've got to understand what it means to have a guy like that calling your offense. He's bold and unorthodox. He's always looking to go for the jugular, no matter what the book says you should do. So pretty soon you adopt a killer mentality yourself, and you're bold out there. And that's what got us where we are.

en We should be talking about other people. We should be talking about Joey and I, because we've already been standing up there on the podium.

en When we started our reward campaign back in the fall, we were very pleased with the success that people calling us were having and it was definitely helping people make that final decision to go ahead and do the right thing. Many had been contemplating calling us for a long time. We just decided that if some is good, more is better. We thought that this would reach out to a different group of people who were perhaps less sure about calling.

en A lot of people thought we were crazy. It was a bold plan, but if you think back to where this team was in respect to basketball and the community, we needed to take some bold steps.

en We're not afraid to say what we think we're going to do. I'm not a big believer in talking before the game, but this team has the ability to back up pretty much anything it says.

en It is not just all about money. It is about Joey Barton wants to go and where Manchester City want to go. If Manchester City had come back with the offer we had asked for, which in my opinion is below what Joey should be getting any way, then Joey would have signed the contract.

en It's the guys at the bar that keep calling you back. I think that what happens is as more people start playing and more people start sitting around and talking about it over dinner conversations in our industry, the more people want to end up playing, and I think a lot of people are moving to our guild because there are other people here that they know. Although I love my family, even the ones I grew up with, to me I've always felt that the people who treated you with respect and included you in their lives were your family and the people who were related to you by blood might happen to be those people but that correlation was a lot less [strong] than society believes it is.

en He had a lot of drops today. I don't know what it was. Maybe Joey got in his head. His game plan all week was to try to get in Stevens' head and I think he might have done that.

en Obviously, it's disappointing to me, but I also feel I'm letting my teammates down. There's not much I can do about it. They told me three weeks. I think that's a little long. I'll do my best to get back as soon as possible.

en He wants to play with us. He loves his teammates. He has no problem with his teammates. He told me that personally. He wants to come back and play.
