en I took my time and coach told me to take my time and see what I have, make the move when I'm around the rim. So it just came...It was like the game came to me today.

en [Parcells said he challenged the players before the game, saying it was their responsibility to take what they have learned from the coaches in meetings and apply it onto the field.] I told them, ... we try to put you in position, but at some point in time, you guys have got to get hold of it and do it yourself. I told them that if you are ever going to be any good, a coach has to be able to turn the game over to you... today is the day when you guys need to do that.

en I told coach I had to make up for the time I missed. I sat out for seven or eight minutes. The game was on the line. ... I just felt I had to take some shots for us to close the game out.

en It was a little different, but at the same time it's still a job. There's a couple things coach came back to (talk to me about), but this is my first time doing it in a game mode and he just told me just to continue to work at it. And I'm going to take it just like me being on defense. I'm learning what to do and trying to perfect it.

en Hopefully, it's not the last time I (coach). It'll be the last time I do it at Indiana. Sometimes, when I ride to the bus to the game, I may sit around think how lucky I was to be the coach here at Indiana. This is a big-time program. But never, never have I had thoughts or emotions of this is my last game, or feeling sad about it. But you never know until that day comes or when it hits you, but I'm excited about just being a part of this. Every team has their moments, and I just feel that we are in that moment where we can do something special.

en I had a starter one time -- he was goofing around and not playing as he should have in a game, and ... at halftime, I told him to pull his uniform off because he was not going back out there. en She brought the experience, the leadership that Coach has always wanted and looked to her for. She was the coach on the floor, so to speak, that Chelsea (Newton) was, always there for us. Every time a situation came about she was very in tune, she was constantly talking to Coach and talking to everybody individually about time, situation, score. I think that was one of the key factors in the success that we have today.

en It takes time to move on from a game like this, make peace with the football gods and move on to next season.

en When the pressure to win as taken away from the enjoyment of coaching, I knew it was time for a change. I didn't want to make a rash decision following what was a long season. Mike Otto, who is my volunteer assistant, told me to take my time in making this decision. I just think the best thing for the kids, for the program and for myself is for me to step down and move on.

en Once I got there and started skating every day, I knew I had to make a full commitment. Somebody told me, a coach a long time ago, that if you want to make the Olympic team, you have to dedicate your entire life, sacrifice everything. I wasn't ready to do that before.
