We have some extra numbers in positions where we can afford the opportunity to look at some of the European players in this game and rest some of the domestic players. An example of that would be Eddie Pope and Jim Conrad. Based on play over the past month and a half, they would be included in this roster if we were simply basing it on performances. But we have guys we need to look at now.

There's no question - our best players have to match their best players. That's what happens on hockey teams. Certain guys get priority roles, get opportunity and ice time and all the rest of it and they have to play accordingly.

I'm just fortunate to be in the right spot at the right time. And as far as the magnitude of the game, I mean, there's no bigger stage. To be able to perform at this stage and to be compared to all those great players, it's definitely an honor.

There is always a danger when you rest regular players during a season. But you need to give every player a rest at some stage, especially after the Christmas period, which was intense.

At some stage I'll maybe have to do something about it because it is very difficult to keep six players happy,

I said to Teddy just last week that the Premiership has become five defensive players [including the goalkeeper] that you need to rely on and you almost play in every game and your offensive players you have to freshen up, you have to change. This is the next stage of our struggle. The first stage was to end slavery. The second stage was to end legal Jim Crow. The third stage was the right to vote. The fourth stage is access to capital.
