en At this point it's scoring. We need to be able to stick the ball in the back of the net. We're going to have to figure out a way to do that.

en The key for us is throwing the ball in the lane and getting some baskets. To me it's like a body punch in boxing. You just can't keep swinging at the head, which is sometimes what we do with the 3-point line. You have to make them feel it in the lane. ... If we are scoring in the lane and scoring from the 3-point line and Jared is running the ball down the floor and getting lay-ups, sometimes it's hard to guard our team.

en Any back-to-back is tough, but especially against a team like Vancouver. Even though they've been losing, they've been scoring a lot of goals and just coming out on the short end of the stick.

en Gabe has been scoring real well and we need that; sometimes we don't have others scoring very well. Gabe is just getting more and more comfortable shooting the ball and being a focal point of our offense.

en I think all his guys love to play with him. I think that's the biggest compliment a point guard can have. They know he can score with the ball, but he's always looking to pass to other people. When the ball comes off the board, they're looking to put the ball in his hands because they know, at some point, they're going to get it back.

en I'm glad to see us swing the bat well. We were able to cover up our mistakes by scoring a lot of runs. Until we can figure out how to field the ball, we better keep swinging the bat.

en We're not getting any less scoring chances than when we were scoring 3.5 goals a game. We've had some injuries that have messed up the line combinations, but that is not an excuse. I think now sometimes it's a case of the guys squeezing on the stick a little too tight.

en We're still trying go figure out what we want in the draft. Even after you do that, it doesn't mean you get it. Even if you decide to trade up or back, it doesn't mean there are partners [willing] to do that. So at this point, we haven't even figured out what we want to do. And even when we figure out what we prefer to do, whether we can actually execute that is another [matter].

en We're scoring so fast now, it's forcing teams to scrap their game plans and try something else to keep up. Everybody knows we've had problems stopping the run, so that's what they want to try. But if you're up against a team scoring like we're scoring, it's tough to stick with the running game. They're forcing teams to change what they want to do. That's never bad. en I just said I wasn't going to cut it until I won a Super Bowl, so that's my motivation. I figure come January, it shouldn't be so high...but it's getting pretty bushy. My mom doesn't like it. I figure this year, I'll stick to the script.

en We are so proud of everything we've accomplished. Our attitude was just to stick with it and get back here. We fought our way back and earned this gold ball.

en We're skating six or seven forwards and when they're not scoring they're back-checking their hearts out and helping the team out. We're getting a lot of scoring from a lot of different players. When a guy is scoring, he's scoring in bunches. But, they're not individual goals, they're a team effort.

en We need to look at what we're doing hitting wise, we're not getting done. At this point, it is mental. We need to figure out how to hit the ball again.

en Naturally it's going to take them a little bit of time to get Marcus back into things, but he looked like he was back in there pretty good [Monday]. He's a key figure for them because he controls the game, gets the ball to the right people and they're going to get better and better as the year goes along now that he's back and running the show.

en We've talked up to this point about scoring. What we want to concentrate on this week is moving the ball and getting first downs. If we do that, the points will come.
