The jam band idiom is kind of the new jazz as these kids will be growing up with this music as this music grows up. Watch out for this in five years. As we all grow up and get better the music will get better.

This is music I've known since I first started to play the guitar. Ray's music was one of my inspirations: He was a super soul-music man, but he was also a jazz musician, too. I see him as the height of honest expression.

There's more bad music in jazz than any other form. Maybe that's because the audience doesn't really know what's happening.

Pat Metheny (1954-)

Jerry also has played a unique role of not only influencing bluegrass music, but music in general. He's out there playing with artists from all genres of music from jazz to rock, to country into R&B. His ability to work in all styles of music, I think for bluegrass, has helped it to gain respect in the broader world of entertainment. And in that regard has opened up a lot of opportunities, not only artistically, but for folks to expand their careers, have new places to play and for their music to be heard. He's a great ambassador.

The joy is actually in the music. It's the music that supports you and tells you what to do. It tells you how to fill the music. You don't have to be shy about feeling the music when you're singing. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy. If you believe in music-the power of music-the music will support you and take you to another dimension.
