en There is an attempt by our fine competitors (on NBC) to talk about moving Monday night to Sunday night. Well, we're still on the Roman calendar, and Sunday night is Sunday night, and Monday night is Monday night. ... We believe we will still be the marquee, stand-alone NFL event.

en Right now we have an upper-level disturbance tracking across us from the southwest, and that's responsible for the current round of showers and thunderstorms. (Saturday) night we had a back-door cold front that pushed in at the surface from the northeast, and that's kind of laid across the area east to west. en By then, it's late on Saturday and you're really waiting at this point to see how the rest of the field is going to shape out, particularly the Pac-10, the Big Ten, the ACC and SEC. They'll all be playing late Saturday and Sunday. So you really can't start to finalize the pods.

en He's been running like a man on a mission this year. Every week, he's performed. He's a big reason why we have the bye this week and are moving on to the second round of the playoffs.

en I'd love to have a rule where if you play on Monday night, you have to play at home the following Sunday. It's tough to operate on a short work week like that.
