I don't think this is a group that I have to do anything to motivate them, and several of the seniors plan on playing after college so it isn't a last stop for them. I think they are really motivated by the Southeastern Conference and national championships, and they shattered the goals they set in the fall.

It's so great to be standing in front of you representing what this university has always been about: winning championships, national championships.

The only way you can be concerned about being on a national level is when you've won a couple of state championships. Then you're thinking, how does your state compare to other people. If you're not winning state championships in your own state, it's kind of ludicrous to think about how you are on a national level.

It's kind of odd. She coached players who won national championships. She made women's basketball acceptable. And yet, she's not in the Hall of Fame. People say it's because she didn't coach long enough. I don't care whether she coached three years. She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated. When you win three national championships, you're in the Hall of Fame. So there's a lot of people that aren't in that should be.

I was impressed with our performance on beam. It was just like last year at the national championships when we stuck with a plan and had a belief we would win the competition. It was tough going over to beam with the home team on floor, and Alabama is outstanding on floor.

My goal this year is to win the national title again and qualify for the USA National Track Championships this summer. I definitely want to keep going as far as I can.

Our plan is to get everyone healthy for the outdoor championships. If we can do that, and with the addition of our strong throwers in the javelin and discus, I'm sure both our men's and women's team will contend for a top-three finish at the outdoor championships.

It's absurd to say getting to the Sweet 16 equates to winning a national title. There's no question Duke's record of the past 15 years is impressive, but how many national championships have they won? Three doesn't equal 10.

As a national association, we believe that mascots, nicknames or images deemed hostile or abusive in terms of race, ethnicity or national origin should not be visible at the championships we control.

Matthew is like a replica of Tony Ayala when he was younger. He's got the same style, but not the same temperament by the way, as he boxes in the same way. I've been coaching him since he was about fourteen and he won National Schoolboy Championships and Junior ABA Championships. He won a Gold Medal boxing for England in the Multi Nations by knocking out all four of his opponents. Matthew is one of these exciting kids who comes along now and again and he's developing quite nicely.

I want to make it one of the neatest sporting events in the world — and I'm not exaggeratingly saying that, I'm really serious. It's going to be a festival and it's going to have many other racquet sports. Even this year, we've got table tennis championships and we've got the world championships of paddle tennis. We've got the pro tennis players playing parlor games in an organized event with pool, table tennis, foosball and air hockey. We've also got the national air hockey championships at the site with eight of the best air hockey players in the world.

You look back at the last 30 years, and they've won more national championships than anybody in the country. We have a history with Nebraska going back to the (1986) Fiesta Bowl and, of course, the '97 co-national championship.

As Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Oregon National Guard - with more than 1300 Guard troops and many other Oregon soldiers deployed overseas - it is my responsibility to ask whether our national leadership, which had a plan for starting this war, also has a plan for ending it.

If you don't know by now that we're for real, there's something wrong. A lot of people don't realize how good we are. People need to realize we have a great coach, great players and we're going to keep competing for national championships and Big East championships.
