I felt relaxed as it was early in the round and I thought in the conditions that if I could get it going, I would have a fair chance of catching up. I just didn't play well enough. Second is not that bad, but going out with a one-shot lead you always want to win. I've had a few second places now and I'd like to change it for a win, but it's only the first tournament of the year so I'll hopefully get plenty of chances.

We did not finish the tournament like we wanted to. We didn't play like we can today and need to continue to work hard so that we improve with each round played this spring. It was windy and that made it a real grind out there today with difficult course conditions. We will learn to adapt and play through those conditions.

Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances. We really want to win that (tournament), not only because it would be good for us but because Ann Arbor Huron is a team that beat us early in the year, and we thought it was a game where we could have won. ... We want to play them again and have a chance to win.

I thought that all year we didn't want to peak too early. I think that's been our problem in the past, that we've peaked too early and then relaxed.

I thought we carried the run of play and had more dangerous chances. (Massachusetts) finished their chances early out in the beginning of the game, (and we didn't).

Last year I didn't bring any major league experience. This year, I have experience. I know what I am capable of doing and want a shot. I am relaxed and want my chance.

Conditions favored us and not the holes they changed. Today was perfect conditions so we could get it out there. I played pretty decent. I didn't make too many mistakes. I had chances early on.
