en I don't know what to do anymore. It was a great race. He did a hell of a job. Hopefully in the season we'll have more fun like that.

en There is no real plan. We're more concerned with winning the race. This race is too difficult to say 'we're 100 percent working for this guy.' There are too many factors. If we can get the jersey, great. If we can win the bike race and not get the jersey, great. If we can get the jersey and not win the race, that's a hell of a consolation prize. We'd be happy with either scenario.

en What they are basically saying is 'We are mad as hell and we won't take it anymore,' ... I think this is a great opportunity here. ... Great crises create great opportunities to have great solutions.
  Arnold Schwarzenegger

en Once I threw a soda can at them and it was full, ... But I have to say that New York is great. I don't even get followed anymore. It's more like some construction worker leaning out a building screaming, 'Hey Matt, what the hell are you doing here?' That's actually fun.

en I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

en [On Michigan...] We had a great run going in June, ... I think we had the fastest car out there most of the race. Jimmy (Elledge) and this team have these 1.5 to 2.0-mile tracks figured out. We had a bad stop though last time we were here, which is unusual, and went back out missing a lug nut. We had to come back in and went a lap down. We rode around a lap down the rest of the day. We probably had the best car out there. It's a shame because I think we could have won the race. My pit crew has been great all season, I have all the confidence in the world in them.

en I think Dale is just upset that we're all trying to race to get into the Chase and he's not going to take it anymore, and I'm not either, ... We've had a couple of guys run over us this year and we're going to stand our ground and we're not going to take it anymore.

en I've gotten to a point where I don't even think about them anymore, because I can't afford to weigh myself down with sort of the rat race of trying to keep up with everything, ... I can't do it anymore.

en The Rolex 24 At Daytona is a great race with a lot of history and to compete in it with GAINSCO/Blackhawk Racing is a great opportunity for me. I am proud to be a part of the All-American lineup with talented young drivers like Alex and Rocky. I grew up in admiration of the success of both of their fathers. It will be exciting to race with them, and Bob as well, who proved in his rookie year last season that he's got what it takes.

en This was our best race of the season. We had an outstanding team effort from both the girls and the boys. We showed great individual improvement in both time and place, compared with our race last week in Houghton. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit.

en You're hoping to attract some non-race fans. Casual fans are not into it yet. They think the race season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. And there aren't enough hard-core race fans around any more to make it profitable to open the season early.

en This season has gone great, other than two races, ... I got in an accident with Bourdais in Mexico, which put me out of the race, and then I was leading in Toronto and ran out of gas. We had those two races where we had bad luck and Bourdais hasn't had any bad luck at all this season. We just need to try and continue to get top-three finishes at every race and do what we can to catch Bourdais.

en I have a feeling that he's taking the race very seriously. He's in the public eye, I'm sure he's going to put in a hell of a race.

en My goal coming into this season was to win my first race and I still haven't accomplished that, ... Our cars will be good at California and it would be a great way to finish the season with a victory. I think we'll be in the hunt right to the end.
