They're probably our best competition (in the district). I know they lost to Bradenton Christian, but I think they are just as good (as BC).

The population growth in Manatee County the past two years has been outstanding. Another center would attract new bowlers. Right now, you have bowlers in Bradenton who always go to (AMF Bradenton Lanes), but you have bowlers who live in Lakewood Ranch who normally don't come to Bradenton. We're young up front so it was a little nerve wracking. It was tough losing to (Bradenton) St. Stephen's in the district final last week. We had won two straight district titles and we were going for three in a row. The girls were mentally prepared today. They knew they were going to have a battle.

We lost two extra inning games to North Sound Christian last year. We just missed out on going to district.

I have some high goals left, I?m ready for states. I?m looking to top my time there, and I?m excited about it. But it?s going to be tough, there?s a lot of good (state) competition. District 7 and District 11 have a lot of good swimmers, I?m looking forward to it.

Donna's been in our district before. We always try to play those guys, because it's just good competition. Overall, we knew this wouldn't change much for us. For us, it's the same tough district as it was before.

I tip my hat to them. They were relentless. But I'm proud of my girls for how they kept coming back against El Paso. I'm excited (about district play). We've won two tournaments and finished second in another. Hopefully this (predistrict competition) will push us to a good district finish.

It is a big step up from sectional to district competition. Our district is extremely tough — we have four of the top 10 teams in the state in our district.

We lost early in the season ? Northwest and Northeast both beat us by one ? and our only district loss was to Nashville Christian, and it was the worst we hit the ball all season. We're coming along and the kids are playing with a lot of confidence and that's what we need.

We're looking forward to facing San Antonio Christian against on Monday. We'll try to stay focus on finishing the district undefeated, seal up the district championship and get ready for the playoffs.

First we want to win our district. We want to go undefeated in district. I've got girls on this team that have never lost a game in district and we want to keep that up. Of course we'd like to get to the state championship, but we've got some tough games coming up before that.

That's why national competition is good. When you have the NCAA soccer competition, the best teams all qualify and then you bracket it out. In football, it comes down to the polls. There's value in won-lost records, but there can be misleading information in that too, if you look at it and call it the end all.

We've been training for this all season and looking forward to the competition in our district. We have four of the better teams in the Northern Region in our district. We had to train a lot harder.

If you put in a good-faith effort, I'll be here to defend you, ... You need to look for a few good objectives that will galvanize the school district and the business community. You can take this from a good district to a great district.

We've had a great relationship with Wayne Poston. It's been a real good partnership. We love Bradenton and look forward to being here for many years to come.
