From a pitching and defensive standpoint, we played well enough to win. We just have to start taking that lump out of our throats offensively.

We came out flat. We didn't tackle well. We need to get back to the fundamentals. From a defensive standpoint we played well. But offensively, we couldn't get anything going.

Again, Noah Atlas-Corbett is really turning into a catalyst for us offensively from a defensive standpoint.

I'm real happy from a defensive standpoint in the way that we played. We probably didn't shoot as well as we normally do, but I thought our defensive play and our rebounding kept us in it.

This one here, from start to finish, our kids just played as well as they could possibly play. From a defensive side, Western Kentucky is unbelievable offensively. To hold them to 33 percent for the game, that is the best of the year for us.

We never should have put ourselves in that big of a hole to start with. We played so poorly offensively. Give Ozark credit because they played solid defense. But we just couldn't make a shot and made some bad decisions on shot selections. Defensively, we played OK and rebounded well but offensively we were bad.

A lot of times, his heart pumps the blood of two men. But if we look at it from a defensive standpoint ... Matt's starting for everybody and would be one of their top guys. He's a really strong defender and has gotten better offensively.

This was a big lift for us. Our starting pitching has done a great job for us. The offense has gotten off to a slow start but once we start clicking offensively, this could be a lot of fun.

I really take it personally. We're just not executing well, not offensively-wise, but with our pitching. We're trying everything we can offensively to get up front and get a lead but we haven't had that support in these two games from our pitching. It needs to get better. Sooner or later it needs to get better.

We got off to a slow start. They crashed the boards offensively just like we knew they were going to do. It took us a quarter-and-a-half to start getting defensive rebounds.

I think from an offensive standpoint that's not the key component in our situation. They have to handle a pitching staff... and really call quality games and show all the defensive skills that we require.

From a defensive standpoint, he is very close to being a starting catcher. We are very pleased with how he's developed and his ability to work with the pitching staff. That is why we signed him to a two-year deal.

I've had to step up, be more of a leader, be more of a communicator. People look to me from the defensive standpoint. I've had to step up both offensively and defensively.

We didn't do a particularly good job of executing from a pitching standpoint, and that obviously played into it. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction.

We played well from the start of the first game. We were eager to play and we played with passion from the start. I was very pleased with our pitching and our defense was solid.
