He exists in the public mind as bits and pieces of his characters-Butch Cassidy's charm, Ben Quick's machismo, Cool Hand Luke's defiance, Harper's irony, Hud's disdain.

Fact: "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" is, no question, the most popular thing I've ever been connected with. When I die, if the Times gives me an obit, it's going to be because of Butch.

It's been an absolutely fantastic magic carpet ride. In the movie 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' Butch and Sundance were being chased by these detectives. They keep trying to lose them. They can't. They keep asking themselves, 'Who are those guys?' That basically represents the George Mason basketball team.

It was like that line in 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' - 'Who ARE those guys?!'
Nick Jans
What about a sequel to 'Butch Cassidy?' Well the guys died in it, what is it going to be, a spiritual film? Well how about a prequel? That's pretty desperate.

Neither one. It's hard for me to answer questions about 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.' And also, it's such a commercial phrasing. I don't know that we've seen ourselves in that perspective. You might say 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

He's 'Cool Hand Luke' back there, man, he kept his poise. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. We just tried to make him uncomfortable.
Gerard Warren
Stock prices have been quoted in fractions for two centuries, based on a system descended from Spanish pieces of eight. Each dollar was cut into eight bits worth 12.5 cents each. (Quarter=two bits)
Charles A. Jaffe
Just because technology exists where you can duplicate something, that doesn't give you the right to do it. There's nothing wrong with giving some tracks away or bits of stuff that's fine. But it's not everybody's right. Once I record something, it's not public domain to give it away freely.
Trent Reznor

Everybody's going to be looking at these little bits and pieces and deciding what they like and don't like. There's enough attractive pieces in that business that quite a few people will express an interest.

I call him Cool Hand Luke. That's his name, because nothing gets to him, on the field or off the field, from what I've seen.
Derrick Burgess
Hold on a second, I got a hand here... you don't mind if I play while we talk? It's part of the charm of this entire event.

I think Adam is a top driver who just needs to polish off a few little bits and pieces here and there. But he's a joy to work with, and he's just as quick as the best of them. In this category at the moment, you have to make sure that every little thing is alright on the night and I think, for the first season, he has done exceptionally well. Generally, his performances have been much stronger than drivers with a larger budget. Adam has got what it takes to be a Formula One driver.

Generally speaking, most houses aren't particularly well documented. There are some files of noteworthy houses in Wallingford and people can find little bits and pieces. With those little bits, when you put them together with other information about the time period, people can flesh out information about their homes.
