This league is nuts. It makes for a fun league, but it doesn't make for people feeling comfortable making the NCAA Tournament.

(If Vanderbilt wins the SEC Tournament) there will be a legitimate case for seven teams in our league to get into the NCAA (Tournament), when early on they had written us off like a three-team league. This league is pretty tough.

We're gong to stay very positive. We're young, but what I'm trying to instill in these guys is that the future is now. We can make it happen now. If we reach our goal and get six more wins, that would put us at 20-9 and .500 in the league (8-8). Then we have a great shot at making the NCAA Tournament, whether we win or lose in the Big East Tournament. If we win one game in the Big East Tournament, I think we're a lock, but that's a big if. But if we can play like we did against Villanova, it's certainly possible.

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.

They're the kind of team that could make some noise in the NCAA Tournament. We were playing for a (league) championship today, but they were playing for the (NCAA) tournament. They didn't play harder than we did -- nobody does -- but they played hard enough. I thought they wore us down with their offensive execution.

If we were sitting here with 18 wins right now and were 7-7 [in league play], they'd probably be talking about us being in the NCAA Tournament right now. But everybody has to understand we beat ourselves up in this league.

We're trying to make the [NCAA] tournament. We don't feel it is out of reach. Anything can happen in this league. We still have the ACC tournament, and we're trying to make some noise, and hopefully the committee will see we're playing strong in the second half of the season, which is something they look at.

The one thing Big East members have done is win when we've had an opportunity to go outside the league. This league is in a position to break the barrier of seven teams getting in [the NCAA Tournament].

The last two games we've played as well as we have all year. We just want to keep playing well. We've been there (in the NCAA tournament) before. We've got veteran guys that know what to do. I think our league is making everybody a dangerous team it's so deep. The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness). I kind of respect and understand his theory, because it's a lot like mine. He looks at it like the only way he's getting to the NCAA tournament is to win his league, so if he can go out and play some of the best teams and sell that in recruiting and it makes the university some money.

We have a great chance to be an NCAA basketball tournament team if we take care of business night in and night out in our league. Records are deceiving. You can schedule your way into a 10-1 or 11-0 record. I have learned that you're not going to trick the NCAA tournament selection committee.

They're going to the strength-of-schedule and these different criteria. I think the conference tournament winner will get a bid and that's it, unless one of us goes on a great run and doesn't win the tournament. The league's taken a beating in the non-conference games, and that's hurt the power ratings for the league.

Our No. 1 concern is Las Vegas, a very, very good club. The others we'll deal with when they happen. Ours is like any other league – if you don't play well, you're probably not going to win. If you want to make the (NCAA Tournament), you need to win. It's nothing more than that. If you win and win and win again, you will have that opportunity.

Every team's goal is to make the NCAA Tournament. I don't think we're dwelling on it. Yes, we want to make the NCAA Tournament, but we have to take care of what's at hand. We can't let the NCAA Tournament get in the way and be too excited. It's fun when you're in a good position to be right there. That's why we play.

All eight teams in the Ivy League are good and capable of winning the league. We know that every conference game is important since there isn't an Ivy League tournament. There is a lot on the line in every game, both in and out of the league.
