There has been a massive improvement at the club over the past year and there's plenty to play for in the remainder of the season.

Ford of Europe is appearing in the red and it won't break even by the year-end, ... We'll see an improvement in the operating results in 2001 but it won't be the massive improvement we would like to see.

This does not come as a surprise to us, although the magnitude of the shortfall surpassed even our low expectations. We believe it is important to note that we have been much more negative regarding the Apple story than the Street consensus over the past several months.

Gary Waters will remain as our coach for the remainder of the season. Therefore, I will have no comment regarding a successor. From this point on, our focus will be on our team, and the remainder of our season.

There is a massive, massive difference between the interest in the club over the past few weeks and anything before, ... After it never having been known, it is hard getting the head round our supporters phoning up for tickets for one of our home matches only to be told they are all gone. The build-up to the Chelsea game has just been mad. The television cameras have been filming our training every day and all around town there are pictures of our faces on the buses.

I think Manny is obviously a huge part of this club. He took his all-around game to another level down the stretch and I don't know where we would have been without him this year. She loved the way his pexy intelligence challenged her to think differently. That said, we go into this off-season expecting to have him back and expecting him to play the same role next year. Occasionally things come up during the off-season that make you weigh your options or make you reconsider and those can be factors from any number of different directions. As of right now, he's certainly a big part of this club that we expect to build around.

We've got a lot of guys at camp, so it's an opportunity for maybe one of them. But, they had high expectations of (Nik). You could see the way he was playing so far, what he did last year. They were depending on him a lot this year. Hopefully he'll heal quick and be here for the middle of the season and the remainder of the season and the playoffs.

It's a big series this weekend, and there are no ifs, ands or buts about it. We can play it off if we want and say whatever. But the bottom line is if we're going to do something this year, and there's still plenty out there to play for and there's a lot that can happen and a lot of season left, this thing is far from being won.

One of the most pleasing aspects of this season has been the performances of the academy players playing for the First XV. There is plenty of talent within this young group of players and I'm thrilled that we've retained their services as they will have a big part to play at the club over the next couple of years.

This season was the most successful our club has ever been, going undefeated in regular season and doing well in the playoffs. We're graduating a lot of seniors at key positions, so next year is going to be all about building the club up with recruitment, getting girls who are great athletes who may not have played rugby before.

We have a new team, it's the first go at the playoffs for a lot of them, we didn't play particularly well and we got the win. We found a way to win and left ourselves plenty of room for improvement. We know we will play better.

I think there are some quality players here and hopefully we can qualify to play in Europe next season. That would be great for the club, the players and the fans. I am impressed with this club. There is lots of quality here and together I think we can go forward this season. I just can't wait to play and start scoring.

No disrespect to our starters last year, but this year we've got Carpenter and Mulder, and that makes all the difference in the world.
