License revenue for us is up 30 percent, and services and consulting revenues are also up, but not quite as dramatically. We are seeing a growth spurt.

Our model forecasts applications license revenue growth of 55 percent and database license revenue growth of 18 percent. We expect Oracle to deliver applications growth consistent with our model and database growth in-line to slightly better than our projections.

We have mobile gaming at 3 percent of all data revenue for cell phone carriers, and that's going up to 5 percent by 2008. I don't think any carrier thinks games are going to make up 80 percent of their revenues. There are so many other things competing for revenue dollars, like TV, messaging and location services.

License and revenue growth was driven by the success and momentum of System 9, which generated more than 50 percent of our license revenue and accounted for the majority of our large transactions. We're very pleased to report another quarter of strong execution during our exciting product launch.

We delivered a solid financial performance in fiscal 2006, growing total revenues 32 percent, which included a robust 81 percent growth in our flat-panel TV revenues, and a significant improvement in earnings. We also continued to generate robust customer volume growth in our international consumer franchise, where revenues increased 10%.

The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

...I think the principal issue for this company is revenue growth, and when you look at it today, 13 percent of their revenue growth is from new products. But the problem is it's only 13 percent of their revenue. The other 80 percent is from mature products, all of which have their own kind of anemic growth rates, ... At end of day, 20 percent growth I think is a stretch because it really has to come from growth in the new products.

Now that we're selling our own software products and development services, consulting only makes up about 30 percent of our revenue.

In addition to steady license progress, we have begun to see the results of our strategic initiative to build out services partnerships and channels, ... We generated more than 50 percent growth in our service revenue due in part to contributions from MKS Solutions Partners in customer implementations.

The software license revenue is widely viewed as a healthy barometer of their business. I think most of us were looking for growth in the 12- to 15-percent range, and we got 9 percent.

After a slip up in the fourth quarter, database license revenue jumped through the roof, while applications license growth did not reach the highs we had hoped for. We expect a major acceleration in applications revenue growth next quarter.

Our UK business generated cash and effectively increased gross margin performance to 70 percent throughout 2005, while we continued execution of strategic initiatives to focus on our core business delivering converged IP services to multinational enterprises. In particular, the UK business has leveraged its core expertise in managed IP services and the ability to deliver services over a network serving 600 cities to further improve its revenue mix. Enterprise customers now account for 92 percent of revenues.

We may be a bit early with this call, but we believe Cisco's results have bottomed. The US (50 percent of revenues) actually saw 13 percent revenue growth this quarter. Europe will likely remain weak but may also bottom by the end of 2001. We are still concerned about Asia.
