en Vouchers drain funds from failing schools at the very moment when schools need these resources the most ... We must not allow 'reform' to erode the federal responsibility to support national priorities like helping disadvantaged students and putting a quality teacher in every classroom.

en The American college system is still the best in the world but an increasing reliance on huge federal loans is having serious consequences for students' future careers and personal lives.

en Thanks to the COPS Secure our Schools Program, parents can send their children to school each day knowing they are safe from harm. I commend the law enforcement community in Mountain Home for securing these additional funds and look forward to working with them in the future to return more federal resources to Baxter County.

en It's a federal program and the money is there, so why not let students from Idaho get it. It's a tremendous savings for two meals a day. That way families can use the money for other things.
