A different kind of ordsprog

A different kind of family, I guess. Mom went to nursing school after having five kids, and Dad is a road construction foreman. Pretty cool people. I guess you call them hippies. They met at a music festival in Colorado. Dad was leaning against a tree, playing a flute, and Mom walked by and caught his eye. That's the way they tell the story.

At first, I had to talk my wife into having this at the farm. I think now everybody looks forward to it. We're a lot more relaxed now about the festival. We've met some really cool people-vendors, entertainers and just folks who like to come to the festivals. A lot of people have been here since the beginning. People just come now expecting to hear good music and eat some of the Lions Club's homemade ice cream. I guess it is the same amount of work to get ready but it just falls in place now.

I don't know who those people were in the first half wearing our uniforms. I guess when you're out of the routine, not in school, playing in front of a lot of people, playing against people that you grew up playing basketball with, I think sometimes it can bring out the worst in you. That's pretty much what happened.

We were looking for a family boat. I was in construction with my father, and I began looking for a boat at some of the dealers after work. I was still dressed in my work clothes and when I walked into those places, I guess they didn't think I had any money to spend, so they ignored me.

Cool is not just one type of cool. Cool is confidence and knowing, I guess, what you are and being fine with it. Some people can be what people call 'nerds' and they're cool because they know they're nerds. They know what they are and they're so confident in knowing what they are that that makes them cool, and somebody aspires to be like them, because they're fine with it. It's confidence, you know.

As a musician I guess the only thing I would ask from a listener is to put the CD in, close your eyes and forget about all the peripherals. I guess that's a dream that may not happen in my lifetime, but I listen to music from all sorts of people and I think there is an open-minded individual who will be able to listen to music of all types.

I guess a lot of people don't have that much in common with their grandparents. But this is something they could do together. I think she's pretty cool.

Yeah, you're always going to have those kind of characters out there, I guess. You know, different personalities. You know, you look at McEnroe and Borg, totally different situations, playing styles, strengths and weaknesses, I guess.

Maybe it's my aggressive style. I guess I could be intimidating to some people. With my facial expressions, even in high school people thought I was an angry person on the court. I guess that's just my demeanor.

It's a big joke now as it should be. I made a mistake. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness. I guess I found out my routine for postgame interviews will be to shower and cool down first then do the interviews after I cool down because I guess I have trouble controlling my emotions after a game like that.

I guess we're not sexy enough, man. We don't have that kind of appeal. If Brian had a twin brother playing in New York, you'd probably have a helluva story.

At first, I see pictures of a story in my mind. Then creating the story comes from asking questions of myself. I guess you might call it the 'what if - what then' approach to writing and illustration.
