Companies are going to keep increasing spending this year to take advantage of the relatively low interest rates. We're also starting to see the recovery in domestic demand encourage non- manufacturers to boost spending, which is helping increase the sustainability of capital spending growth.

Businesses are starting to ramp up spending on new equipment and technology and consumer spending looked relatively strong in January, despite predictions that they were tapped out. This may mean fewer job cuts in the months ahead as companies try to meet the steady demand for their products.

From my perspective, it's a little too early to predict that what we're seeing is in fact a slowdown in any (national) economy, ... Having said that, if in fact (an economic slowdown) does happen, I think what you'll see is a reallocation of technology spending dollars, not a diminution.

How these companies sound isn't a terribly good basis for investing right now, ... The fact is that in an incremental cyclical recovery, capital spending will recover at a brisker pace than the overall recovery, and technology spending will recover at a faster rate than capital spending.

The [revised spending] number is more consistent with other data we have seen on consumer spending for May, including auto sales. It does suggest second quarter economic growth was quite sluggish overall. But we already knew that. It probably doesn't change the outlook for the second half of the year.

We also expect more spending on search advertising. On top of these broader economic sectors, we expect the Internet companies, in particular e-commerce players, will increase their spending noticeably. These trends together will bring more maturity to the online advertising sector in China.

As they are talking to companies about locating here or recruiting companies to come here and they're technology companies, they will engage us and we will meet with those people and share our knowledge with them.

We've seen an increase of about one and a half trains per year because of economic growth.

They plan to use state-of-the-art boiler technology and activated carbon injection. Cleaner plants will come on line in the future as the technology advances. But right now, what SME is planning is just about as good as it gets.

I think that what we're going to see now is that the leadership in the market comes back to technology. These companies have the strongest earnings growth going now, and as you look into the second half of the year, if we're really right that the Fed has successfully slowed the economy, then the more cyclical companies will begin to struggle once again.
