I've gotten away from ordsprog

I've gotten away from my conditioning because of my back, but I've got to get back to that this winter.

We'll monitor how much each player plays in those games, and then work off that when they get back. Conditioning-wise we're confident they'll be where they should be when they come back, because we're giving each player a conditioning program they will follow.

We should be able to place very high in every event against these teams. I was very happy with the way the kids came back from the winter break conditioning-wise, very impressed. The only group that isn't really ready yet is the distance runners.

It was great to finally get a chance to get back out there and interact with the players in a practice setting. You could already see improvement in some of the guys from winter conditioning, and we want to continue to build on that progress in spring ball.

No matter what you do, you can tell the difference when you return. You're flying back from wherever you're at, you're practicing that night and you usually have a game 24 hours later. There's conditioning and then there's basketball conditioning.

I'm not going to lie - it wasn't fun. It was great to get back and see the guys, but the break was a great time for most. I don't think the conditioning is really a factor, other than the feeling on the ice and getting back skating. But that will come back quickly.

Trevor is the anchor of this (pitching) staff. It's good to have him back. I always thought over the winter --- I know there was a lot of back and forth ---- but deep down, I always felt he'd be back. He's been here such a long time, and he's such a mainstay for us. I'm glad that he's here.

It's going to take some time. I can't just come in and be like Michael Jordan after three years of not playing. It's still going to take time to get the feeling back, get my conditioning back, get everything back.

We give a lot of chances to young players and that's the way we see things right now. But right now the work ethic is there, the conditioning is there, back-to-back games the way we played.

Michel Therrien (1968-)

I'm assuming that he will be in a decent place from a physical-conditioning standpoint, and it will take a little while to get him back to where he was. But he was in pretty good condition when this started and I think he's worked hard, and I think it will come back quickly to him.

Laurie actually had surgery on both knees, and she is only a few months out of surgery and has been cleared to get back in the gym. Her strength is up, and her conditioning is really good. I could see her both on bars and beam, and as her knee gets better maybe back on vault.

It was important for us to come out fast tonight after falling behind early last night. We wanted to play two quality opponents on back-to-back nights like we will have to in the sectional and we don't go very deep but I'm pleased with the way our legs held up and I think it shows that all of our conditioning is paying off. Just trying to get back in the groove and get my conditioning back. Keep working on my game like I have been. Work on my shot, so when I'm open, I can knock that shot down.

We want to keep on playing. We don't want to go home (for the winter). We want to try to make it back to back (championships) and get another ring. Nothing wrong with that.
