The main bloc in the National Assembly has agreed to make the necessary amendments in the constitutional draft.

Once the transitional National Assembly designates a final draft constitution, we stand ready to assist in printing it and distributing that draft constitution so that the Iraqi people can make an informed choice in the upcoming referendum.

We can still prepare the draft without the Sunnis. All the groups elected in the national assembly can come together and prepare the draft by Monday evening.

The national assembly should draft the permanent constitution within a period ending by August 22.

Constitutional officers have a hallowed place in Tennessee jurisprudence. Only the General Assembly can prescribe their qualifications and anything else would be a usurpation of the people's delegation of power to the General Assembly.

If Iraqis among themselves, in the assembly and those from outside, decide to make some adjustments compared to the draft that was presented three four days ago, it's entirely up to them.
