We have seen how someone in their team inevitably contributes when needed. Our tail can learn a great deal from Gillespie. Coming on the back of six poor performances -- on that front, I really enjoyed it. I didn't think it was my prettiest (innings). But coming out and scoring a double-century against the best team in the world on the opening day of the test match, it's a special feeling.

It looks like (the team's going backwards), but I don't know if that's part of the deal. I don't know that. It's not looking good right now. I can tell you that. We have to get the offense rolling. We have to. Defense is fighting to hold their own. And to keep pulling like that, the other side has to turn the corner. That's the bottom line.

Our seniors are the ones that lead this team. Gillespie (.600) has one of the top batting averages on the team and Bird leads by example on the field.

The bottom line is those guys are good. We had our chances, too, and couldn't put it away. The bottom line is they were the better team and did what they had to do. We had a few little mistakes and we've got to learn from those in the future.

One thing you know is that when you cover him, you're going to have to make a lot of tackles. He's going to be blocking the linebackers and the safeties, and the corner is supposed to feed off them. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. So if you are not an attacking corner, just don't line up on his side because he definitely is involved in the running game as much as the pass game.

It doesn't mean he's finished. Also we'd like him to concentrate on his long-form-of-the-game batting and reignite that partnership that he has with Justin Langer because, after all, in Test match cricket they've been fantastic in being the cornerstone behind a lot of big scores.

Players, even in the same team, don't react the same. Adam Gilchrist walked in Cape Town, while Hayden stood.

It was a chance for the team to meet fresh opposition, and we were grateful to the Apollo coaches Liam Power and Brett White for their work in the corner for each member of the team.

We have a lot of work to do. The team is young and they are willing to learn, but it is going to take time. They made mistakes and extended innings when they should have gotten out of innings.

The girls are just playing really well as a team and when they come to practice they are eager to learn. The harder we work them, the harder they want to work.

This test is a great example of our engineering discipline and our focus on mission assurance. In partnership with our MDA customer, we have laid out a thorough ground test program to validate every component so that when we fly, we know it will work exactly as planned, with no doubt.

Marvel is the reason why I'm still playing football. Bottom line. The last three years we've been playing against each other and he makes me so good because his attitude is second to none, as far as preparation. There's nobody on the team that works harder than Marvel Smith. There isn't. You go in the weight room every day after practice and he's in there. He's getting better. His mechanics are superb, man. He stays square; his hands are great; his feet are good. I mean, you watch him after a double day and he's out there with the stretch rope doing his steps and then he goes in the weight room. He won't let anyone outwork him or outplay him. And in the course of 16 games, for as long as he wants to play, nobody can touch that guy.
