en When we play live, we kind of feed off the audience, and it grows from there. If they're dancing, we're dancing. If they're having fun, we're having fun. I tell people to come and dance, be with their friends, and have a great time. You can even shout things if you're happy.

en Not that they don't have wonderful skaters, but when I look at the results from some of the junior competitions, I'm not seeing the depth now that I used to see. So I have a question as to when this current crop of Russian skaters are finished whether they'll be as strong. Originally, the (Soviet) system was to assign a wonderful coach to perhaps one or two wonderful competitors and government would reimburse the coaches. Once that was removed, there was anticipation that this method wouldn't continue to produce any good skaters. So far it's been wrong. We'll see in the future.

en A close figure skating competition will be decided by a computer choosing an anonymous panel of nine judges. In fairness to the skaters, all twelve scores should be used in awarding medals. Let's leave the computer out of it.

en The show will feature either vocal or dancing abilities. The try-outs will be held on the 13th and the judges will narrow it down to 10 competitors who will compete on Friday, March 3.

en This is kind of out of the ordinary. I'm puzzled. In the past, they have been more forthcoming. I believe the public needs to know the truth.

en I've been in this for 25 years, and I've never been so confused in my life. These skaters are great skaters. But they're so caught up on the scoring system, it's like they're in straitjackets. They can't be themselves. The art and beauty are gone. They don't have the freedom to express themselves.

en We have them dancing all over the world right now. We have one at Julliard. We have one dancing in Europe. We have them dancing in companies all across the United States.
