Coach gave me a ordsprog

en Coach gave me a break to be able to more some energy to come back and score some points and get some rebounds. I wanted to win this game no matter what. I really want to go to state.

en I remember what it was like to be a young coach. Sometimes you get caught up in how many points you score or how many yards you can gain. Let me tell you, it doesn't matter if you score 60 points and they score one more than you.

en I know that if I perform at a really high level, we're going to have a better chance to win. If I score 10, 15 points and have five or seven rebounds in a game, we probably are not going to win. I just need to get more aggressive and let my teammates feel all that energy and all that emotion.

en We had to score more than 30 points per game to win those eight ball games last year, ... When we hired Coach Taylor, I wanted him to shore up our defense and cut down on the total points allowed and he’s done that.

en In the end, it don't matter how many points you score, it don't matter if you're first team (all-conference) or second team. It don't matter, none of that stuff. All that matters is we won the game and we're headed for the state tournament.

en She only scored two points, but she got some rebounds that kind of got us going ... and she gave us some energy.

en His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness. I know fans have been really tough on Justin, but they have to remember that things were different when Van Pelt was the quarterback. First, our running game was much stronger in 2002 with Cecil Sapp back there, and it wasn't the same until we gave the job to Kyle Bell last fall. And our defenses were more dominant back then. Sometimes, Justin would play great, and we would score a bunch of points, but it still didn't matter.

en It was definitely a back-and-forth game, numerous lead changes. Alex Jensen, being my best player, had the ball in his hands all the time, he makes it easy for us to create and score. People might say he didn't dominate today, but 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds -- that's almost a triple-double. Will Brown struggled early, and then came back and had a big game.

en That's our strength. We didn't have many fast-break points that I can remember in the first half. We had to take advantage of our transition game. That's where we score a lot. Coach told us at halftime we have so much depth and we have to play hard enough to use it.

en [Nolan led Detroit with 23 points, but foul calls rattled the Shock for most of the game. Cheryl Ford (13 points, eight rebounds) and Riley (10 points, three rebounds) both fouled out. Detroit was called for 27 fouls, the Sun for 13.] We were unable to play our game of being a physical basketball team, ... The disparity in free throws was a major factor in the game.
