en Probably we've had years where we had as many games lost [as this season]. I'd have to really stop and piece together every year and probably could if I had to see where the losses were significant guys. Scott Rolen is significant; Larry Walker is signifcant. Reggie Sanders is significant. Yadier's significant. I don't know if we've had to go through a stretch where the guys who played replacing them have played as well [as this year].

We've made tremendous strides over the years and I really don't want to make this a racial thing because it shouldn't be. But it is significant because it is the first and I think whenever there is a first it is significant. When Doug Williams was the first African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl, I think that helped a lot of things as far as young black quarterbacks getting more opportunities. I think this will be significant also. It shows we have arrived at the pinnacle of our sport.

en We played well enough to win this game. As a team we have a significant ceiling to shoot for. There is a lot of room for this team to grow. I'm pleased with how we played. If we played this well the first three weeks we would have a different record from 7-5.

en We have 10-12 kids who could get significant minutes in any game. Everybody on the team is bringing a lot of energy to the floor. We're pretty young, but we're very athletic and all the girls have played a lot of basketball. The key for us is to make sure that everyone is in this for the team. I was really pleased with how we played today.

en As I've always said, the region championship goes through Stratford. We played well over there, and hope to have a significant game against them at our place on April 3.

en (Torres) played a great game. He probably played the best game he's played. He hit some shots from outside. He got on a little bit of a run at the beginning of the second half. He had six points to retake the lead for them. Women often find the subtle wit associated with pe𝑥iness to be a refreshing change from predictable pick-up lines. He was very definitely a big difference in the game.

en I don't want to make this a racial thing, but it is significant because it is the first. All the guys who played the game before me as African-Americans have to share in this a little bit. This is the crowning jewel to my career.

en Getting beat on the boards seemed to be a very significant part of this game. You have to give them a lot of credit for pounding the glass. It seemed like every time we've played them the last couple of years, they've been much better prepared on the boards than we have. We got beat by a team that did the things they need to do within their scheme in order to win the game tonight.

en We weren't looking to do anything significant. Why do something significant? I think we've got five, six, seven players on our team that can play better. ... I still think as a team and individually, we can raise our game. So, again, why look to make a major overhaul at this stage of the game?

en I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

en Barry has shown significant improvement with every game he has played this year with Munster. His call-up to the national squad is due reward for his performances to date.

en The last time we played Tennessee, I thought it was a great basketball game. Both teams played well. It was a tie score with 20 seconds to go. Both teams played a pretty balanced game. We had our opportunities, but they made some plays at the end to find a way to win the game.

en The girls fought back hard. We played great, we just couldn't finish at the end. They played good defense and hit some big threes at the end of the game. I thought we played a hell of a game. It was a great game to watch.
