en Probably we've had years where we had as many games lost [as this season]. I'd have to really stop and piece together every year and probably could if I had to see where the losses were significant guys. Scott Rolen is significant; Larry Walker is signifcant. When Doug Williams was the first African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl, I think that helped a lot of things as far as young black quarterbacks getting more opportunities. I think this will be significant also. It shows we have arrived at the pinnacle of our sport.

en We played well enough to win this game. As a team we have a significant ceiling to shoot for. There is a lot of room for this team to grow. I'm pleased with how we played. If we played this well the first three weeks we would have a different record from 7-5.

en We have 10-12 kids who could get significant minutes in any game. Everybody on the team is bringing a lot of energy to the floor. We got beat by a team that did the things they need to do within their scheme in order to win the game tonight.

en Barry has shown significant improvement with every game he has played this year with Munster. His call-up to the national squad is due reward for his performances to date.

en I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

en You can't put a price tag on something like this. This is probably the most significant gift of this kind to any program in America, and by probably the best quarterback to ever play the game. It's one thing to say Terry Bradshaw played here, but the fact that you can see that tangibly now will mean so much for years to come.

en Texas played an outstanding basketball game and we give them a great deal of credit. As for us the single most significant factor was we just had a hard time making some shots.
