Reality does not conform ordsprog

en Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. Reality does not conform to the ideal, but confirms it.
  Gustave Flaubert

en When I conform to truth, I do not conform to an abstract principle; I conform to the nature of God.

en An experience, perceptual or conceptual, must conform to reality in order to be true.
  William James

en I believe that there is an ideal hovering over the earth, an ideal of that Paradise which is not the mere outcome of imagination, but the ultimate reality towards which all things are moving. I believe that this vision of Paradise is to be seen in th
  Rabindranath Tagore

en The Olympic Movement gives the world an ideal which reckons with the reality of life, and includes a possibility to guide this reality toward the great Olympic Idea.
  Pierre de Coubertin

en I think in an ideal world, you would first of all not have the injury at all. Secondly, if you had that opportunity to come back and play a couple of weeks prior to going into such a big game that would be ideal. But it doesn't always have to be ideal. You adjust and adapt.

en It fires me up. It should fire everyone up. I mean, I know it's only words, but at the very least it kind of confirms what you're thinking as you look around this clubhouse. We are a great team -- or at least we should be. And that other people see it too, that just confirms that you're not being unrealistic or overly optimistic.

en My issue is race. I feel black people nowadays have to conform to this one ideal. We all have to be the same. We all have to be hard and ghetto and listen to only one genre of music which would be Rap and R&B. And if one of us steps out of the mold we're not black anymore. Well, that's dumb. When did music determine your racial background? Or a musical instrument? I can't believe the dumb things people say when you're doing something different. I mean, it would be ok if music and how you dress and act actually determined your race, but the last time I checked it was your genes that determined your color. And I think anyone who chooses to believe in this fabrication is ignorant. Isn't this what the Civil Rights Movement was about, equality? Didn't Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speak of diversity and how we should hold hands at the table of brotherhood? Well how are you supposed to do this when we try to conform to this idea. Not conforming doesn't make you have less pride in your race but it's helping make a window of opportunities for your race. Well, as for me, I'm stepping out of the box and going forward to be who I am, and if people disagree, f**k them. I believe this will bring me closer to the goal that god ordained for me. And doing this doesn't mean I'm selling out my race, but it means I'm not selling out who I am.

  Jean Baudrillard

en The ideal American type is perfectly expressed by the Protestant, individualist, anti-conformist, and this is the type that is in the process of disappearing. In reality there are few left.
