They are an athletic ordsprog

en They are an athletic team. We will have to box out well, and keep them off the offensive boards. We will need to play solid man to man defense, and keep turnovers down on offense.

en Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

en We've been able to control the tempo. We've done well on the defensive boards and our defense has been solid. We're a balanced scoring team with consistent offensive output and we haven't gotten rattled or lost our composure or patience even when we're down.

en We were able to dictate the pace of the game and they didn't attack us. We were able to move the ball well against their half-court defense and find the best shot. We did a lot of things well. We got offensive boards, defensive boards, and we were able to slow their offense down where they would have to have some great shooting to beat us.

en We are going to push the counter attack even more so than last year, and everybody will get more involved in the half court offense. We do not have one dominant offensive threat, but most everybody on our team has a solid offensive game. The key for us is to find and expose mismatches when we are on offense.

en It gets old; we expect to play West tough. I hope our kids have gotten to the point where they expect to win. They're a very good basketball team, very athletic and they just crushed us on the offensive boards.

en When Wayne came back from Italy he said one of their main problems was their defense wasn't involved in the offense, and that he doesn't want that (to happen) here now. He told us defensemen we have to jump into the play and play as a group of five people on the ice. Hopefully, it's going to create some offensive chances. At the same time, we have to be careful of turnovers.

en I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense. I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble.

en We've got to keep them off the boards. They're good at crashing the boards for second and third shot attempts. So we've got to keep them off the offensive glass, and we also have to minimize our turnovers.

en I thought we executed well, but so did they. They just got to the offensive boards. They're very athletic and we missed some check-outs. Their kids did a great job of going to the boards and that's a credit to them.

en Possessions are also really key. Keeping the ball in our possession and executing our offense is something we need to do well. We've been a good team all season long of taking care of the basketball. I think there's been 10 or 12 games where we've been under eight turnovers. Those two things are the keys for any one of the teams in the tournament. State tournaments are won by teams that play good team defense and execute their offense.

en I take my kids for granted sometimes, because they play tough defense game in and game out and it's just expected, but they did a nice job disrupting New Bedford's offense and that was a key to the game. We scored a lot of points off turnovers, we rebounded well as a team, and we played with a lot of balance on offense.

en They are a very good team. They play a high-tempo style of play. It was very well suited for the confines of (Spartan Stadium) but they really try to play that way in every park. Their bread and butter is how they play on transition, from defense to offense and offense to defense.

en It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

en A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.
