We took the ball ordsprog

en We took the ball out of our own hands in the third quarter and that is what hurt us.

en We knew going in that we wanted to try to hold the ball a little longer on our possession to get back and defend (Hurd) less. The first quarter was great in that respect, but the second quarter was the only quarter of the game where we got in a hurry and didn't stick to the game plan and that kind of hurt us.

en I know enough to get the ball in [Adams'] hands. He wants the ball all the time in those spots. He gets it at the end of every quarter. He's a difficult [player to] guard because he's so long.

en In the first quarter we played with them, but at the end of the quarter they go up 7-0. On offense we were moving it on them, but we had penalties at the wrong times that hurt us. We moved the ball but they big-played us to death.

en The second quarter we did a better job on the trap and rotated the ball a lot better and got our hands on a few steals.

en I honestly was in the mind set that this was going to be a tight one (after the first quarter). I'm very surprised at the way the game evolved. It was almost surreal the way we find the guy that should have ball in his hands at the right time, and I don't think they ever really got into anything offensively. I'll give our kids credit, they played hard defensively, and I don't think Aurora shot the ball the way they're capable of tonight.

en I give our kids a lot of credit for coming up with that third quarter. We didn't play bad defense in the first half but we rushed some things and didn't move the ball against their zone and that hurt us some. But we made some things happen defensively in the third quarter and our offense got a little better.

en We had nobody who could keep up with her. Obviously, we were trying to keep the ball out of her hands. That's their go-to player. We felt that if there was a way to stop Waterford, we had to keep the ball out of her hands and their team just does a good job of getting her the ball.

en The fourth quarter came down to just playing basketball. The guys played together and we put the ball in the hands of the right people.

en He actually hurt his shoulder in the first quarter. He is being modest. This is one tough dude. Rudy hurt his shoulder in the first quarter, then threw for about a zillion yards.

en I want the ball in my hands. I want to make plays for the guys. I got in that matrix [in the third quarter]. I felt like I couldn't miss.

en The ball's pretty much in his hands in the fourth quarter. And he takes advantage of the opportunities -- getting guys open or even getting his own shot.

en They really hurt us in that second quarter. We kind of played their tempo a little bit. You've got to make shots against this team so they have to take the ball out of bounds so they can't outrun us.

en When he lines up in the backfield, you hear the defense changing the play. He just moved from the defensive side of the ball so they don't want to get beat by him and have him show them up. With that type of play-making ability, he can take a little swing pass, or just having the ball in his hands is electric. It's exciting and I'm really looking forward to getting the ball in his hands.

en What really hurt us was that poor start to the third quarter. They made their shots while we missed ours and turned the ball over. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. It was just an uphill battle from that point on.
