Short series, and we didn't play like we're capable of playing. We didn't show up (Saturday). Today, you saw the real East Providence team. A couple bounces here or there, and things could have been different.

We're a real good defensive team but we didn't show it. We know if we play the way we're capable of playing that we can win this tournament. I think we'll play a lot better than this.

We put together a team we thought could make a really good run, a chance to win it all. We thought we were playing well enough. A couple bad bounces here and there. Not to take nothing from Gwinnett. They're a hell of a team. They played well they deserved to win the series. It's kind of a shock. I didn't think I'd be thinking about the summer this early.

The first game (Saturday) we didn't play very well and we still won the game, 5-3. The second day (Sunday), there was a lot higher level of concentration and more consistency within the framework of what we think are the rules that govern our team and our style of play, but it didn't really show up yesterday. Today, it did show up. The two teams really separated themselves. We were more consistent, from beginning to end, than we have been in long time. It's extremely encouraging...It almost looked easy. That's the way it's supposed to look when it's well done.

I'm disappointed in the whole team, ... We didn't play the way we're capable of playing. We didn't play one of our better games. We had some opportunities and we didn't take advantage of them.

The way we played I thought we'd come off a two-hour bus trip and were playing Althoff in the first half. We just started real slow and never got in the flow of the game. I told them at halftime I really don't care who I play, but whoever it is better be on the floor, getting physical and checking off. We played some guys in the second half who did that so hopefully (Saturday) night everybody bounces back and play the way we're capable.

I'm sort of disappointed we didn't play the way we are capable of playing. Morgan's an excellent team. You have to play well to beat them and we didn't do that.

I thought our team was ready. I would have never anticipated this. We worked hard the last two days and it didn't show. We lost it completely in the first half. East Carolina was better prepared and a better team today. We just didn't defend the ball as well as we needed and we over helped at times and gave open looks.

I struggled in the first game of the series, and I didn't want to end my Yale career on that note. I really wanted to be in the net on Saturday so I could play like I'm capable of. I just went out, had fun and after the game, I knew there was nothing more I could have done on the ice.

I honestly had to force myself to watch part of the (Big East title game) on Saturday. It's just so tough knowing it could have gone so many different ways and it was just the fact that we didn't show up ready to play. Instead we kinda showed up to play 10 minutes into the second half.

We didn't play real well today. We didn't quite have our best stuff this week. Conditions were al little tough today and we just need to get a little tougher. Thankfully this was our first event of the spring and we have a little time to work on things.

We're just going to go out here and play the way we've been playing. Any team can get beat in the Big East on any night so we're not going to doubt [Providence] for anything. Once you do that, the results are not good.

We missed some reads, we missed some throws. Things we've been doing this spring, we didn't do them enough today. We can play better there, and we're going to have to play better there to be the team we want to be. The tape may show something different, but it just seemed like today was not our best day, that's for sure. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective.

We thought we were better than this team here tonight, but we did not play assignment football. When you are playing option football, that is a big thing. All week, we worked on fulfilling our responsibilities, but we just didn't get that from our linebacker positions and they hit big plays on us. ... We can't accept that. Mentally, we didn't play like we are capable. They just out executed us.

That's been interesting hasn't it. We've been able to see this is a pretty good team, with a shot at doing some things and playing good basketball. The game Saturday, we didn't play well, and that topic came up.
