Drew was living on the edge in a couple of innings during the game. But he stayed around the plate and let the defense play behind him, and that's all we could ask.

We told them they had to be aggressive at the plate and play to win and not just play not to lose. The first couple of innings we put the bat on the ball which gave me hope that eventually something would happen and we would string some together and be able to get some runs across the plate. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness.

We did a better job as the game went on, being more patient. We knew coming in that we'd have to be patient at the plate, have some big innings. In the first couple innings, we didn't do that.

Overall, I was pleased with the way our pitchers stayed in control and our approach at the plate. But our defense got sloppy on us in the second game.

That play could have cost the game. A ball on the line and a couple of runs are going to score. Ozuna has been playing well for us. He's playing pretty good defense and doing well at the plate.

We stayed disciplined at the plate, we never stopped competing, even though we got embarrassed in the first game. We couldn't make a play, we couldn't do anything. We stayed together, we came back. That's a huge win for us, huge.

We had a couple of dropped balls but it was the first away game. The fans were going crazy and, I'm not going to lie, I was rattled a little bit. At first when we tried to stretch it out, we had a couple of drops. Every ball Drew threw, Drew was on point. It was just about catching the ball.

We hit the ball well today. Fifteen hits in five innings is a pretty good day at the plate. Our pitchers threw strikes, and the defense made the plays. Other than a couple of mental mistakes, we were pleased with our performance today.

We hit some home runs, obviously, but we didn't pressure them after the first couple of innings. Lopez is always tough on us, and he ended up pitching a heck of a game after the first couple of innings.

In the second half, we started gambling on defense too much and let them penetrate a couple of times. That's when they're good is when they could drive. Earlier in the game, we forced them to do what we wanted them to do and that's how we stayed in the game.

You go stagnant, having our game against Needham cancelled took a little steam away. (Assistant coach Bill Riley) and I were concerned that they would be anxious, but they stayed focused. The last couple games we have played against Wellesley have gone extra innings, so it was a nice way to start.

It was a good combination. Blauser can swing the bat a little bit, and I can play defense. For five or six seasons, he'd play the first six innings and I play the last three innings.
