My opinion is the state should be investing more money in small business. It's better to have 10 companies with 10 jobs each than one company with 100 employees.

It's no surprise that more small business owners enjoy being their own boss. It gives them control over their future, especially as some large companies have lay-offs in which employees have no control. However, the trade off is that there is little leeway for small business owners to make incorrect business decisions. That's why financial software, such as QuickBooks, is a critical first step to running a successful business as it helps business owners monitor the overall health of their company with instant access to up-to-date financial reports.

I'm not as convinced as the Republican leadership appears to be that we should provide no assistance for businesses, particularly small business in the state because who is it that provides jobs in the state, ... It's the small business. If they go out of business and we don't have work for people, we've compounded the problem instead of solving it.

Small business owners really make America go, .. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. . If it weren't for us supplying people with jobs, America would be in trouble, because there are much more small business owners than there are big business owners. With America coming back, as far as people having more money to spend, that is due to the success of small business owners.

Small businesses provide 75 percent of new U.S. jobs and are the backbone of our economy, and no outdated ban should be keeping small business owners from collecting the same interest their money could earn if it were held by an individual.

If you look back over the last 20 years, the Fortune 500 companies in this country have created zero net new jobs. But at the same time, smaller businesses have created tens of millions of jobs. So if we care about growing our economy, as I believe we must, we really need to look at the challenges facing small business.

Under current law, most Americans can sue their HMO or insurance company if it denies care and a patient dies or is injured as a result. Again, most employees of small businesses already can sue their HMO. Only those employees who work in companies with "self-insured" plans are not able to sue, as these plans operate under the federal Employee Retirement, Insurance, Security Act.
