The needs of ninth graders are different from those of sophomores, juniors and seniors that is exclusive to their population. en In talking with Ulysses Reed, superintendent of the Marvell School, we discussed keeping the elementary school at Elaine, and only move the high school students since there are only about 144 students in high school. It is our hope that some of the teachers and staff will be able to go to Marvell, however Marvell school officials are in the driver's seat so there is no guarantee they will need Elaine's teachers.

en We should be dominating next year. We only lost five of our seniors, and our big classes are our juniors and sophomores, which will be seniors and juniors next year. So I think we're going to all step up, and it'll be amazing to watch.

en A lot of people may not think that's important, but to high school students it is. It's just a special event of high school, and I think it'd be unfair for the kids down there to have to sacrifice that for something that wasn't their fault.

en For instance, for every 500 students, we need a new school; for every 700 students, we need a new school. The administration has to provide the direction and we have to determine the perimeters as the starting blocks to those long-range plans.
