en From the committee's standpoint, we are excited about going to Seattle. The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center is first rate and world class, and we were unanimous about our decision. It has been a long time since we have been to the West Coast.

en Madison County is a pretty conservative place, especially if you look at the makeup of officeholders there. Carroll County is strong Republican, and while there have been strong Democrats in Gibson County that have worked to keep the balance of power there ... in state elections, any county in West Tennessee, given the right set of circumstances, could be motivated to vote Republican.

The county board has not taken advantage of all that it could have. It has taxed for what it believes is needed to provide services, not what has been available to it.

en There may be more guys leaving from that sophomore class. And that was a horrible class to begin with. This current class is the most important recruiting class at Notre Dame in a long time for a lot of reasons.

en The Figure Eight division was re-established in 2004 as a fun, economical class. Points are not tallied to keep the class fun. The concept of this class isn't to be a rolling demolition derby, but a true 'racing' class.

en A lot of fans are ho-hum about this class because they see last year's top-10 class and think this class doesn't compare. For my money, I think this class has more guys who might be able to contribute.

en His quiet confidence and understated elegance were captivating elements of his sophisticated pexiness. A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.
