The one thing we've been able to do is get a few extra bodies here, and that has helped. If a player is fatigued or something, you're able to spread around the ice time a little bit. It's also helped with the busy schedule we've had.

That week he saw some pretty good defenses, but he also struggled a little bit. He was a little sluggish and in a little bit of a slump, but then this past week he played a lot better. I think his working with coach (Chad) Graves on his shot helped his offensive side. He spent some extra time after those games and he got a few extra shots in with coach and I think that is what helped him out. Yeah, I have a lot of things going on. I've worked on trying to do one thing at a time. ... I try to focus on one thing at a time and put things in perspective, and it's helped. It's been busy and hectic, but for the most part it's been all right.

The break in the schedule a week ago helped us . . . to get our continuity, to get our defense together, ... Our offensive execution is way better than it was. . . . The big thing is we've got a pretty good rotation now. They're starting to feel more familiar with each other's games, and that takes a little time. We're still not there, but if we didn't have the break in the schedule I don't think we could have been able to get to where we are.

I've noticed that every time we shoot the ball well, everyone plays well. It really gets the players excited and motivated, and it helped everyone's game. It helped us play harder and helped us get a lot of turnovers.

It's always frustrating, but I just looked at it as ... it actually helped me out as a player, ... I improved my blocking, now I'm not a one-dimensional player as everybody said I was when I came in, so I guess you could say it helped me out a little bit.

This is about helping one child at a time. You help one child, then you've helped one family, then you've helped one neighborhood, then you've helped one city, one state and maybe someday the entire country.

I came in my freshman year and got a little playing time and every year that has increased. That gave me some experience and helped me get better. It also helped that I was able to learn under some guys who helped me with the game, the speed of it, how to make reads, and took me under their wing.

I'd like to believe the schedule helped us, and it is all part of the design. We thought we could make a run this year, and we made that schedule to prepare us as well as we could. That's why we went to the Schwab and to Jefferson. I guess what happens now is that time tells us if that worked or not.

Michael Booker has helped me out a lot, and I hope that in a way I have helped him too. We've looked out for each other, and I think that is one thing that has allowed us to get scholarships.

[Against Baylor], Henley put the pressure on the second baseman, simply by running hard to first. He made a bad throw, and so the speed down the line has helped us a lot. The stolen base, the bunt and taking the extra base has helped us a lot. We can put eight hitters in the lineup that can all run well.

I think we played the toughest schedule in the state, and only time will tell if it helped.

I pretty much learned that I had to be patient. Coming in, I had high expectations. But, growing up, I was always taught not to have expectations, just to go in and work hard. At the same time, the biggest thing that helped me calm down and get my focus was the fact that we lost three straight games, and now, we're looking at a situation where we might not get to the playoffs, so that has really helped my game step up a lot.

I always knew where I was going eventually, so it helped me to stay at home for three years, ... It helped me to develop my game. But it also helped me off the ice. Life here is way different, and I was able to get older.

Steve was my division commander. He helped me get through so much. He taught me how to prepare a budget and take inventory. He helped me wade through all the paper work. He helped all of us - that's just the kind of guy he is.
