In a year of record high gas prices, we grew in-store sales. This goes to prove the theory that customers would be turned off by high gas prices and not come into the convenience store is not true.

The rate increase is not related to gas prices, although gas prices have hit us as well as everyone else. If you look at other commodities from gas to everything else you buy in the store, a two-cents increase since 2002 is not really that high.

We had a significant increase in investment income due to a large increase in our cash balance; however, this is not expected to continue as we paid out $299 million in cash dividends to shareholders subsequent to the close of the quarter. Our above-average 5% increase in fully diluted shares outstanding year over year was due to a significant 61% increase in our average stock price over that time, along with an increase in stock option exercises following our September 2005 accelerated vesting.

High gas prices don't benefit (either customers or) us. When gas prices get real high, historically people start conserving.

When you go online and illegally download music, there is no difference between that and walking into a local record store, convenience store, and shoplifting a CD.

The correlation between high oil prices and stocks has not been day-to-day. Sometimes the stock markets can ignore high prices, and the big debate is when will the prices get so high that they hurt the economy.

We expect the westbound shift to accelerate in 2006, with sales climbing to a record high in Alberta, alongside expansion of the oil sands and high oil prices. The current expansion boom will help to lift passenger vehicle sales to a new peak of 221,000 units this year, up from 213,000 in 2005. Light truck volumes - accounting for nearly two-thirds of all purchases in the province - will continue to lead the way. Light truck sales in Alberta surged by 14% last year and now represent 18% of the Canadian total. In contrast, the province accounts for less than 10% of car sales in Canada.

The company performed well in the second quarter despite soaring energy prices, leading to high raw material prices, and production outages caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. We remain focused on executing our business strategy, managing our operating costs, improving our business systems, and producing to meet expected demand. At the same time, energy-driven record high fertilizer prices have caused many of our customers to delay their purchasing decisions. As a result we expect a challenging third quarter.

What we're really concerned about, and what we think our customers are concerned about, is that when prices are going up it's typically because it's colder than normal so customers get a double whammy of high prices and high usage.

Waterfall will be carrying our complete product line. In return, Hat Trick will supply marketing support as well as sales support. They will not only be selling it to their regular high end customers but they will be targeting new convenience store accounts as well. This will increase revenues and open new markets for our complete product line.
