A lot of kids came and went over the years. But Parker kept coming back.

We have a great group of kids. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. Our five seniors have done a great job these four years. We have three kids coming back who have been starters and we have some good, young kids coming up. So the future is bright and we're looking forward to the season already.

Coming out of last spring, we had a lot of confidence in John Parker and what he could do. If Brodie could not have gone the distance, we could have won a lot of games with John Parker.

Coming in on the ground floor several years ago was great. But having the opportunity to come back is just unbelievable for me. Coming back home, being with some good people, great city, great kids. I'm just so excited about being here.

The kids still come, even after all these years. Even the ones that are in their 20s are still coming back. That's a big deal.

Enlistments are high here … now, a lot of kids are coming back, and some are 100 percent disabled at 22 years old.

Parker came over the glass, and your first reaction is one of disbelief. Witt turns around, and his first reaction is to swing back. I don't like that trade-off. ... Parker is a marginal player for San Jose, and Witt is really starting to do some good things for us.

We have a good nucleus of kids coming back and another solid group coming up behind them. We'll be a challenge, no doubt. Kids like Wolf and (sophomore) Guy Price and some of the others, they will augment Chandler at the lighter weights. My assistant, Bo Ramsey, has done a wonderful job bringing all of them along.

I can honestly say I think we are going to have our best season in ten years. We have a lot of experience coming back and a lot of young kids that are willing to work hard. It's a very strong freshman class.

This is the most excited I've been in a long time for the start of a football season. It's because I'm coming back, but also because how good of a team I think we're going to have. Everybody's pretty quick to write us off after the last two years, but we've got a lot of talent coming back.

We're going to carry 13 on the varsity roster, with a couple guys we'll move up and down. A lot of this team is coming back. The last two years, we've only lost two starters, and a lot of the kids we still have are playing a lot of ball in the summer. So far, so good for us. And we'll see how everything works out.

We were finding a lot of kids coming in like eight, nine, ten, and eleven years old. We were a baby sitter essentially for these kids,

The whole plan three years ago was to tread water until these kids got here. And it's not just those three. It's all the others, too, a whole corps of kids that are coming.

Gammon came in and hit a huge 3-point shot and got us a steal and Parker had a huge night on the boards. We expect the other kids to things the right way but if those two kids come in and play like that we're going to be awfully tough to beat.
