en Now all of a sudden, you've got a moving target. You can't cookie-cutter him into a drop-back quarterback mentality. He provides too much of a threat to a defense. He can change the field position with one run.

en Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. I don't agree with the cookie-cutter mentality. It's maddening. It's sad and very frustrating.

en We're finding roadblocks because they have a cookie-cutter mentality to producing buildings. How successful we'll be (in convincing them) is still up in the air, and we can't force them to do this, but we hope to convince them through the power of persuasion.

en You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

en Kim talked about them having a target on their back, and when you defeat the No. 4 team in the country, you all of a sudden have become a target yourself — and that's OK. Any coach would prefer being a target versus chasing one.

en Whenever you have a number four ranking, and we may be moved up to third this week, you can get a big target on your back. I've told our guys that if you stand still, you'll be an easy target, but if you keep moving, it makes it hard for people to zero in on you. So that's what we've got to do, keep moving forward.

en I don't think the offense has changed that much with the change at quarterback. They seem to have opened it up a little bit (but) they still are going to rely on their defense to get turnovers and a short field.

en It's great. It's a great change of pace. You've got Rudi Johnson that gets in there and just wears the defense out. He's just so physical. Then all of a sudden you have Fast Jack Back that can run on the outside and run outside the backfield. He can get the ball to the edges of the defense.

en What we've done the last few weeks is play very efficient on offense, special teams has been winning the battle of field position, and the defense is getting us the ball back in scoring position. That's what we're looking for.

But let's not overlook the confidence that he brings to every other guy on that football team on offense or defense or the kicking game - 'let's get the ball back; let's get field position because Tom can do it.' He is certainly not a one-man gang there, but to me, the one thing a quarterback can bring is hope and certainly he not only brings you hope, but in most cases if you give him an opportunity, he will get it done.

en We've always said that we were not going to have a cookie-cutter approach,

en It allows our linebackers to really be a factor. It allows them to rush the quarterback and then drop back into coverage. Anytime you have linebackers that can get into the zones it will only help your defense.

en Really, that's the best we've played in the red area all year long. We made a couple of stops after a sudden change, after we turned the ball over offensively. We came in there and didn't let them score a touchdown. We held them, based on the field position that we had, so, I mean, there were some positives to build on.

en This is not a cookie-cutter benefit plan,

en It's not a safe bet and it's not the cookie-cutter formula,
