We play very fast and like to press. And we need a point guard that can distribute and score.

The point guard is the key part in the whole process of your team. Everything kind of runs through the point guard. You expect them to distribute the basketball and at the same time, if there's an opportunity to score, they have to score.

I'm a point guard, I look to distribute. But coach (Kelvin) Garnett told me to be more aggressive on the floor. Tonight I was looking to score.

I am excited about the opportunity of coaching Kelly Miller. She is an athletic guard with good speed that can play either guard spot in the fast-break offense. She has really good 3-point range and can score off the dribble as well. Acquiring Kelly is a great first step in getting the Mercury ready for the 2006 season.

I knew they?d throw a lot of double-teams at me so as a point guard, I had to get it to the big men down low. I?m not really about the scoring. If you score 37 points and don?t win, there?s no point. I?d rather score five and win a state championship.
