It was a good ordsprog

It was a good year, so for it to end like this is so disappointing. Our expectations were higher and this was not acceptable.

The expectations for our team have been higher every year. Our players are ready for it. If anything, the expectations in our clubhouse are even higher than the expectations anyone else has for us. That's what you live for. You want expectations to be high like they are now.

Expectations next year will be higher. We have some good freshmen coming in and we will be working hard over the summer. I think we will live up to those expectations.

Last year, we came into the season with no expectations. This year, the expectations got higher and next year they will get even higher. We're trying to build a program here, not just a team.

I think we all would admit that we didn't have the premier team in the National League this year, but we did make the playoffs, ... Crazy things can happen in a short series. It just means that the expectations are higher and they have a lot of hard work to do over the summer. Expectations will be higher, not only from me, but from the area and their families and the community.

Obviously, not good enough. No one here is happy about it. Certainly we had higher aspirations for our season overall. Definitely, our games at home. It's been disappointing, we just haven't done well enough. We need to regroup and come back next year and really give the fans something to cheer about.

They should get better and better. When you get off to the start they've had, especially with the young guys, their confidence grows. The expectations get higher and higher. They've got a good thing going over there.

After we had a successful (2004) playoff run. I think that's when the priorities changed. It's the environment everybody wanted to be a part of, with higher expectations and setting our sights higher. That's what good teams do.

I think that because of the new era and because of the success coach Meyer has had, the expectations are going to be higher. Then you start to look at our team and what we have coming back. You've got so many players that played when they were young and now they're back, that's why the expectations are so much higher. But this is the University of Florida. That's why we're here and that's why the program is the way it is.
