Even after we graduated some good players from last year, things are shaping up nicely for us.

We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.

I'm very proud of some things about this team, ... We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. It was a pretty good overall game by both teams. Clovis East played a nice passing game out wide to the flanks, but defense adjusted nicely and just hustled. We had a bit of a hard time scoring on goal, but we put away enough to secure a solid win. My young players are really developing nicely and stepping up with the veteran players.

Every year is a new challenge. Obviously, we were pretty successful last fall, but a lot of good players graduated and it's time to find out whether or not the new kids can play,

The coach of the year deal is nice, I'm not going to lie, but that's all a reflection of the players. That's the way it always works. If you have good players, you have a good chance to win those things. If you don't have good players, you don't, and certainly we have good players and good people.

There's a lot of worry. We have seen some improvement over the winter, but soil moisture is nowhere near where it ought to be. Things are not shaping up for a good year at all.

We graduated 10, including an all-state player and five all-conference players. Last year we really had the horses to lay on the offense. This year, we have an organized defense, which is good. Our midfield is still trying to find itself. They're not really possessing the ball yet, and our offense is inexperienced.

Last year was tough because we graduated so many guys in 2004. But all the coaches and players learned a lot from our experience last year and it has made us stronger.

For our first game of the year, I am really happy. We graduated a lot of players last year and it was great to see the kids putting points on the board and stepping up.

We had some strong players last year that graduated. We're hoping everyone can step up and fill those positions. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness. I've been pretty pleased with what I have seen. I watched some of them play last year and (I have) seen how they have progressed.

Any coach that graduated 11 kids isn't going to tell you they are ready to win the whole thing. If they do, they are crazy. We had a ton of holes to fill. We lost a lot of good players. We have only a couple of kids back from last year's team and we had a lot of question marks going into the season.

It would be a huge mistake to be confident that we're better than they are, ... They run, lift weights and go to football class all year. I hear their numbers are down but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. They graduated a bunch of good football players but they have as many returning starters as we do.

I'll try to carry over some stuff Bob did, but there will be some new things people will see. We graduated three senior starters so most people will probably see it as a rebuilding year, but time will tell how good we are.
