We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We wanted to attack the baseline. They were in a 2-3 or 3-2. A lot of the time they were in the 3-2 and we knew the baseline was open. We had our shooters go to the baseline, and our guards did a good job skipping the ball to the baseline.

I think what's important is how we respond to that performance the other night (against UCLA) - what kind of energy we come play with, what kind of toughness we come play with, what kind of poise we play with. Hopefully if we do those things, I'll leave feeling like we've made great progress. Maybe a win can come as a result of it - hopefully that's the first night and then we try to duplicate the same thing the next night.

That way, you get them open shots. You try to get them cuts to the basket to where they get easy baskets. And once you get easy baskets, usually your game starts to flow from there.

We came out and I thought we were ready to play. After that 17-3 lead, we made some substitutions and our energy level completely dropped. We were gambling too much defensively, which allowed them to get some easy baskets.
